Looking forward to Welbeck's return, too. I have a lot of faith in him becoming an elite striker.
I don't see him becoming a world-class striker, but he adds energy along the front coming off the bench. We've missed what he adds with depth.
And this was the obligatory move-the-Arsenal-thread-off-the-second-page post.

I think right now Welbeck is a versatile guy who will always put in a good shift, but he's got all the qualities to become a 20 goal-a-season CF. I was very excited for him this season and bummed by his setback.
Anyway, looking forward to Coq and Elneny tomorrow. My prediction.
-------------------Ospina--------------------
Chambers-------Gabriel------Kosc--------Gibbs
-----------Coq--------------Elneny-----------
Ox-----------------Ozil----------------Alexis
------------------Theo-----------------------
Think Giroud is rested for Tuesday to give that ankle more time. Ramsey or Rosicky comes on for Ozil at 65 minutes. Coq comes off around the same time if the result is favorable.
Would like a first half Alexis hatty so we can rest the second.

Will this FA Cup game be on American TV?

Excited to see El Neny make his debut.

Cech can't play every game and Ospina is a competent keeper. But god, you can see the drop off when a world-class keeper is not in the net.

Not too bad. Good showing from iwobi and Elneny. Kos has been a lil shaky this year, got to co tinue getting chambers and Gabriel game time for the future.
Great to have Sanchez back, looking forward to him and ozil playing together again. Chamberlain with the assist but still can't buy a damn goal.

Ah, the height of the banter years. Thank god we spent after that.

So how many more years can we realistically expect Cech to play at world-class level? Two? Three?
Is Woj showing any improvement at Roma?
Petr has spoiled me. Woj better improve by leaps and bounds in the next couple seasons. If not, there could be a fan revolt putting him back in the number one slot after Cech retires.
I'd go ahead and sell Woj and just be determined to sign another world-class keeper when Cech hangs 'em up.

I still don't see how chambers is defensive material, he lets players get by him way too easily. I think he looked pretty good in the deeper midfield role.
Also elneny is going to get a few goals before the season is over I think, he really likes to go for it. Long passes too which I think adds something different to our attacking, especially with bellerin and monreal bombing up the sides
