I know you are just throwing that last part out there, but it made me start thinking. Are RB and LB so different that we would be better off with Gabriel at LB rather than Gibbs or Monreal if it ever came down to it?

Why would we ever play Gab there over natural LBs? Playing a CB there would utterly destroy our attacking game without all that much defensive benefit. Please remember that fateful Winter when we had Kos and Mert at CB, Djourou at RB and TV5 at LB. I think we lost points every game we played with that back line.

Gibbs and Monreal are two really good LBs, international quality, regulars if they played for different nations. Morons shite on Monreal early but he has been miles better than Traore and Santos.

Monreal is the best LB in the league

Gabs has played on the left side of a back three, I think, but he'd never start over a healthy Monreal or Gibbs.

Bellerin would play LB first and put Chambers at RB. Gabriel would not make a good fullback, IMO.

I really do believe we have the strongest group of fullbacks in Europe. Monreal has been the most consistent performer for us this season and Bellerin will be the best RB in the world one day. Like Crazy mentioned Gibbs is international quality and would start for just about any other team in the EPL.

Do y'all think players like Schneiderlin regret choosing one team over another? Man Utd look so pitiful.

Match day! No better time to start a winning streak in Stoke.

Looks more 4-1-2-3, Elneny on the bench though.

He's bad. He either over dribbles or makes a terrible giveaway.
