Theo missed so many chances, if it were giroud yall be all over him. This stoke side is a lil diff than we are used to seeing. they were def playing more open so i think Theo worked in this case. But we got to finish. at 1-0 all it would take was one shot from stoke to tie it up.
I liked Gabriel in there as well, overall a very good performance from the defense. I think we can settle on monreal and bellerin moving forward.

I was all over Theo after his misses much as I was all over Giroud when he had his miss.
And I applauded both for their goals.
I like both of them. For what they bring. Their limitations are obvious. But We may have the best midfield and defense in the league. If our forwards can be average in terms of conversion, we can compete for a title.

Gabriel has featured in 11 games for Arsenal. With him on the field, the team has conceded 4 goals. Record in those games: W10 D1 #afc
He has slid into this team really well, especially considering the language barriers. I'd have to wonder if he displaces Per sooner than most of us thought.

Coquelin has not committed a foul in any game but Palace.
He's gone 27 straight challenges (interceptions, tackles, aerial duels) withouT fouling.
I still can't believe how good he is.

It is crazy when you really think about it. He and Kos are Arsenal's most consistent players. Coquelin has been amazing.

The slide tackle that led to the first goal was excellent.

Coq has been the very definition of "holding midfielder."

Agreed. Giroud gets unfair criticism because he lacks pretty runs.

From what I've seen, the frustration at the multitude of missed chances from cf the last couple years has been pretty evenly distributed here, whether Welbz, Theo, or Giroud.
If Arsene is going to play a "hybrid" striker, let's put Sanchez there.

Theo Walcott's chance conversion in the last 4 seasons is 20%. The same as Thierry Henry's chance conversion in his last 4 seasons at Arsenal. Aguero's is 21%.
From Orbinho.
Also, Walcott has 11 in his last 11 starts (7 were at RW), but he has 9 goals in 8 career starts at CF for Arsenal.
Pretty productive.

We just need Theo on the field. The dynamism and speed he provides is invaluable. CF RW whatever.

I'm in this camp. If Giroud is playing up top, Theo needs to start on the wing.

I am in this camp as well. I also find the idea that his reluctance to track back being some big hinderance a bit overblown. Outside of games against big teams on the road, we will very rarely not have the ball.

It's completely overblown with Hector and Coquelin's protection behind him. It's not like Ox is a defensive work horse.

So it looks like Barca/Roma is on FS1 tomorrow. Does this mean we are subjected to Fox's awful streaming service?

Based on the rehab plans for Welbeck and Wilshere, someone tasked with evaluating injuries for Arsenal is apparently less than awesome at their job.

Uverse in Houston has it on FS2. I know a lot of places either don't have FS2 in HD or at all, but I just thought I'd throw that out there.
