Ramsey and Wilshere have been very Lampard/Gerrardesque when paired together

They should be a good pair for one another. Jack prefers to drive with the ball and Aaron prefers to run without the ball, but they can't seem to not get into each other's way. Actually the way they've paired recently has been about as good as we can hope from them until one or both learns when to go forward and when to stay back. Jack's little feints and spins make him perfect for driving the ball from deep, as well as recycling possession, yet he doesn't really do the latter. There have been a couple of times this season where they finally understood how to work together as a vertical pivot to move the ball upfield, since we don't seem to be playing with anyone in the hole anymore, which is super fricking annoying by the way. We literally have more no.10's than any club team in the world, and we have one of the very best in Ozil, yet Wenger seems intent on the 4-1-4-1 which doesn't seem to get the best out of anyone. At least not yet.

What I mean to say is that if we can somehow get Jack and Aaron on the field at the same time and not lose defensive fragility than we get closer to the midfield balance we need. We still need a DM who can hold until those two learn to play with each other.

I would love for Jack to sit back a little bit and recycle possession since he's solid on the ball and a little slower on the pass than Ramsey (I think he telegraphs his passes too much), but defensively he's a wild child and we already have one of those in Flamini. Like, I'm pretty sure Jack loses all body control when he doesn't have the ball. I like Ramsey more advanced because he's a better finisher, or at least he's smart enough to get into positions from which to score.

No not centrally. Maybe when jack is on the wing and Ramsey and arteta are your pivot pairing.

I thought we were on our way to being stocked up pretty well, but our usual lightning-quick injury bug strikes and we are dangerously thin again.

I'm worried that Alexis gets overworked, worn down, and suffers a long term injury, much like Mesut last season.

Have we always been Pot 1 for the UCL Draw?! I have a feeling I might jinx it but we might not get stuck in the group of death this year!!!

If we can just avoid Dortmund & PSG from Pot 2 and Roma from Pot 4, I'm pretty much fine with anything else we might draw.

But you know we're going to be in a group with Borussia Dortmund, Athletic Bilbao and Roma!

Fairly pleased with our draw. We've played well against Dortmund in our last four meetings.

Great matches to watch. Still have to travel to Turkey, but no "Gunner Killer" Drobga any more.

I just hope we can win the group this time around. Last 2 years we've had the group for the taking come the final match and we hardly try it seems. And of course we get paired up with Bayern and other super tough teams first round of knockouts right after.
