Spends more than any other club this year and ends up with ZERO silverware
His record vs the top 7
1-1-1 vs Jose
0-1-1 vs Poch
1-1-1 vs Wenger
0-2 vs Conte
0-1-1 vs Klopp
0-1-1 vs Koeman
its going to a long hot summer bruvs
hold ya butts

You try winning winning a trophy with freaking Kolarov, Clichy, Zaba, and Sagna as your fullback crop lol. Plus Kompany and Gundogan out for the majority of the year doesn't help.

What's the consensus on Jose? Is 6th place good enough to qualify him as elite?

£170 million should be good for at least one trophy

IMO next year will tell the tale for both Pep and Jose.

It is incredible that you are totally correct. These two both need another 100-150 million to really make their mark!!

i mean to be fair if you look at these squads when they came in and they both needed a lot of work. City is an almost complete rebuild as most of the top players in the 2012 and 2014 title teams are aging. Man United have some great pieces but had missed on some transfer targets and have had to rely on a stopgaps around the pitch.
They both got their clubs into the Champions League in year 1, which was the minimum for both coming in. Year 2 is a different story as now they will have had 3 full windows to rebuild and 15 months to implement their systems.

I think this is a fun thread just because he didn't win shite this season, but I think Pep will end up w/ the last laugh if the rumors of him having a 250 mil budget to work w/ this summer are true.

I think Pep will win the league and one of the domestic cups before his time is up.
£250m yea ok that will bust FFP even if it's been watered down

Conte is going to coach circles around everybody once he gets players he wants.
