Anyone think the current pricing will hold?

From round of 32 on, the US games are all north of $3K a ticket for the cheapest seat in the house.

No idea if FIFA has held some back or what.

A lot of the tickets for the group stage took a nosedive as they weren't selling until right before kickoff. Obviously the demand will be higher for knockout rounds but it wouldn't surprise me if you could wait a bit and get a better price.

If the U.S. is in the game, the pricing won’t drop.

I dunno, I’m gonna be in Miami for sco bra but tickets are insane. Probably watch it at a pub if they don’t come down. Not paying 3k for nose bleeds

Only saw 1 game in Houston with decent prices but was for 2 shite teams. Everything else has been $1k or higher, even the day of. I don’t understand who the hell are buying all these tickets at these prices.

So what do resellers or the venues just eat that cost if the tickets don’t sell?

Scalpers eat it. At this point the venues have long sold the tickets, everything for sale is secondary market

One of the surprises of this whole tournament for me.

Stadiums, by and large, have been completely full.

Ecuador and Curaçao being 99.4% full in Kansas City is the one that will always blow my mind

We should be hosting this shite every 12-16 years

None of the Dallas games’ prices have dropped. The last I looked the Argentina Jordan game was $2500 for nosebleeds.

Between our relative centrality, large immigrant population, and plenty of tourist destinations that probably entice some people to travel (along with the US being a general travel destination, I can see why our gsmes are so packed.

Honestly, when I think about Qatar - the stadiums were small and the only partisan fans were largely contained to behind the goals. The rest of the stadium was filled with casual locals in local garb. These stadiums are packed with people in team colors and it’s cool to see.

Reason we always host the gold cup. We are tailor made for huge sporting events.

If some of these tiny nations sneak in to the later rounds somehow the prices should drop. Unlikely they do- but I can see prices dropping for some venues if that happens.

If the USMNT makes the semis in Dallas, I would guess we are looking at $8K+ to get into the building. As much as I would like to attend, I just don’t think there is a world where I can justify that.

as a DFW resident, the way I look at it, what am I going to regret more. Having this opportunity in my backyard and not taking it? Or "losing" $8k?
It's not small money, but the 8k is going to be replaceable.

the billions of people who got tix at face value during the lottery period.

Like I said in an earlier thread, I got midfield tickets to the R32 match at Levis Stadium for $500. Wasn't a slam dunk that it was going to be a USMNT match then, but it worked out.
