Boyd should have been taken over Wondo, and i like Wondo. The thing with him is he is a poacher who scores off of rebounds and being in a good spot, not that their is anything wrong with that, but he doesn't create anything and will not be able to take the guys we will be playing off the dribble. Boyd has proven himself in Europe and is the better player, he has the size and skill to finish in the box. He is a physical presence we could use if Jozy goes down or needs to be subbed out. He is a better player in the air than any of our forwards, which is vital to win games against better teams.

In Donovans case, he should be there over Davis, but if Jurgen views him as a striker than hey it is what is. We will probably have Bedoya, Zusi, and Geeen at wing, but that isn't enough depth there unless he plans on playing Yedlin there. Davis may have great left foot, but if you can not create space what is the point.

Boyd and Donovan should be on this roster, Wondo and Davis should not be

Yes if this is a young forward thinking approach you take Boyd over Wondo all day.

Boyd has more tools in his bag than a 31 year old Wondo

Ummm no. Just no.

Boyd has played well this year - in Austria. And we are talking about a guy at a position who is behind Jozy, Bacon, Deuce and Wondo. And Wondo has scored with the team of late.

What has Boyd done for the USMNT? He had a hell of a season in Austria, sure, but what?

Go with the poacher. A sub who can get where he needs to be for a late goal.

I was actually completely indifferent to Boyd vs Wondo.

My cuts would have been Wondo/Boyd, Corona/Green (those are the ones I am ambivalent about), Edu, Parkhurt, Yedlin, Brooks, and Davis.

I can live with Yedlin over Evans, I think. I don't like Brooks over Goodsen at all, but it isn't the end of the world, as neither should play one second, ideally.

The two people criticizing Wondo don't watch MLS.

Wondolowski is much more than a goal poacher. He probably passes better than Jozy and Johannsson and also can play on the right wing if need be.

I love Terrence Boyd, but he has the same skill set as Josmer.

9 more than Boyd

Seriously, Boyd is still young and a project.

I'm ok with having another player with the same skill set as Jozy. If he gets hurt or just isn't playing well, I want Boyd there to take his place.

Hindsight is 20/20...but yes bringing Boyd would've been a brilliant move as things currently stand

Do you think Boyd is like-for-like replacement for Jozy because they are both big black guys?

But since the lineup for this World Cup was built so heavily around Jozy's skillset, would it not make sense to have a replacement on hand in case an injury happened?
