Where will this Spain squad go down in World Cup History?
Over 780 passes completed in the final

The most dominant one in recent memory, IMO

And they did it with Yamal at like 70%

It’s insane to think about. He’s been starting for Barca since he was 17. Crazy that other starters at that age (Pedri, Gavi) were bench players for them this World Cup (not to mention Yamal). The Barca to Spain talent pipeline is just insane.

I get that 2010 had some Real Madrid influence on the roster, but you look at the core of that team and the core of this team, La Masia is the main reason Spain now has two stars above their crest.

It’s crazier even that that area of Spain wishes they didn’t have to play for Spain.

Yeah we don’t need to have to play Catalonia and Spain

I guess the goal is a profit center where families from Cali and AZ with plenty of resources can send a kid there so they can say “my kid is associated with Barca”. Too bad the US doesn’t have a nationally subsidized program to make it accessible but also a singular stylistic approach.
, La Masia is the main reason

100% and this is not talked about enough.

I had never really watched him play. Barca isn't known for its defense. So I wasn't so sure about Spain with some inexperience. And players like porro just seemed a joke at Spurs last season.

Not to take away anything from Yamal, he's ability to dribble past defenders is elite, I'm probably biased but I think playing center back is a tougher task than a winger. It's not often you see anyone that young as an outside back, much less center, and to play every possible minute for that team, where they only gave up one goal is unreal.
I didn't hate Simon getting the Golden Glove, I think there were a lot of deserving keepers, but Cubarsi definitely deserved most outstanding young player

Starting 2 teenagers is pretty crazy, deep talent pool for Spain.
