If I'm Trump, I tell Zelensky that we tried to help him. He has drawn a red line that doesn't jive with our red line, therefore we are pulling ALL support for Ukraine and will just make a minerals deal with Russia.

One big hangup is that Z/Ukraine has already agreed to and signed a 100 year deal with the UK that includes "minerals". That was done prior to Trump's first deal.

That's not a big hangup. That was purposely done by Zelensky and the U.K. to try and have an excuse why they can't sign a deal with the US to payback our money. The U.K. does not come before we do and they have no leverage. They are a failing country with no military. Ukraine might as well tear up that agreement because it does not factor into our negotiations.
