I've said to you before that we are on a road to economic failure

We're still better off than everyone else. If this huge economic collapse is coming like you say, then there is no fix and we're going to be living in the 14th century (or further back) soon.

. I actually sat down and gameplanned all of these scenarios out in 2010. Told my family we were headed for trade wars, shooting wars, revolutions, defaults on debt and obligations, hyperinflation or depression, or both

It's going to be more like collapse of the Roman Empire and the thousand years of devolved SOL in the West.

May as well just eat a bullet now, if that's the evantuality.

To "cheaper" imports?

Then our domestic high-end and service economies would be shite and the opposite is true. If your argument was true, our trade deficit would be much larger, also.
Goodness! I don't recall a less founded statement you've ever made on this board.

No.
Draining is a fact associated with certain international exchanges. It was the entire basis of tariffs while we were on the gold standard.

THIS all fricking day. They have NO answers just criticisms. They're slimy turds who try to slither out of losing positions and contradict themselves just to be obtuse.
They’re the pigeons on the checker board.
I can’t even imagine being that person.

Yes. Because they can be built easily with third world labor. It’s simple, really.

But the kinds of things we should look to manufacturer and export, we largely cannot due to US regulations (IP laws mostly).

A lot of truth here. I'm most familiar with chemicals and metals, and regulations (more than labor expense) is what's driven shite tons of production offshore.
