You and I have a different definition of thriving. Just barely keeping your head above water, having no emergency funds, and your children having to choose between shite jobs with no future is not what I call thriving.

Are you saying it was different when "America was great?"

Explain how?

For real. I wondered how this board would try to spin this one and I did not have just saying that tanking the stock market was a good thing on my bingo card.

e thinking about retiring just got told by Trump and the market you can kick that plan down the road, because the economy that you built your retirement on doesn’t work. Doesn’t matter that we had the best economy in the world, doesn’t matter that the middle class was thriving or that the US economy was weathering headwinds better than any other economy, we had to change it and you have to pay for it. Not from your Porsche or millions in the market, but your 30 or 40 year retirement account you worked your arse off for that now looks very different because we had to kick ourselves in our own dick.

Your retirement was built on a sandy foundation of lies. Most people don’t know that.

Please tell me what in any of what is happening now is going to change the spending habits of Americans, if that is your prime argument against? Not one thing. So if debt is the issue, this is not going to fix anything

Not in Washington it won't for sure.

Not all Americans have "bad" spending habits or, in debt.

That is an opinion with real life consequences, and not for people living the high life in luxury cars and with millions to cushion the blow.

The MAGA loyalists are anti capitalist, and anti free market.

They've accepted the Govt role in mediating the economy so they can get a "better deal"

Its Bernies philosophy twisted with Trumpian mercantilist fantasies. They just dont realize it.

Wait until you learn about inverted yield curves and that saying this was going to happen through a big chunk of Dementia boy's presidency.

Your lack of understanding something does not make it unable to be understood.

Economists and financial personnel have been saying this bubble is going to burst for a few years. They have been recommending people put all of their investments in cash and metals. Even The Oracle went cash heavy, making it publicly known that he was cash heavy.

Do not sell those 23 shares of AT&T now. The market will come back.

A different scenario.

Trump just added new policies with negative economic impacts in addition to that "bubble that is going to burst". Trying to conflate the 2 as one issue is dishonest.

Unless you sold into the dip, no one has lost a thing.

This idea of a "loss" is a psyop media brainwash being executed by the Wall Street media.

The signs were clear in 2016.

Which is why I've said since 2016 my biggest issue with trump is his leftist economics (Which, ironically, got me labeled a "leftist/DEM" for years)

Exactly. I said at the time that this funky populism would drag them into socialist circles.

They have become total victims.

I explained the deeper thought processes in place.

You don’t get it.

You just want cheap Chinese shite.

You are no longer ignorant, you are a willing participant in the long term taking down America.

You are like a meth-head, you enjoy the high, but refuse to acknowledge that your addiction will have long term consequences.

CB has already said he voted for Trump.

I voted for RFK because there were no good candidates to me. I certainly didn't vote for Kamala.

This is necessary.

Not thrilled I am down 9%, but I know in the long run I will get that back and more.
