Did you actually watch the video? This is the biggest nothing burger.
No kidding. The video in the OP’s linked story does certainly not match the subject title.
What am I missing? Is there perhaps a doorbell or cell phone video of this encounter that went viral?

Propublica, MSNow with a slightly better track record.

Oh I guess we shouldn’t have borders anymore

In my experience, when you are innocent, the fastest way to clear up a case of mistaken identity and deescalate the situation is to turn and run.

Running is fricking stupid if you're legal but they did cuff one of my clients for a bit and he was pissed.
Client is a trim carpenter. Originaly from Hondurus but has been a citizen for 30+ years. They show up at job site and single him out being he is the only hispanic because his entire crew is white. He tells them he is the owner of the company and provides his DL for them to verify. They cuff him and hold him while they run his name. While he is in cuffs he's telling them that his son is a border patrol agent and what they are doing to him (in cuffs) is bullshite becuase he is doing everything to comply. They proceed to be dickbags until they verify he is a citizen. Once verified they uncuff him and just leave. No apolagy, thank you nothing.
I 100% agree with cracking down on illegals, but this type of behavior is why the PR is so bad.

Looking for any reason to excuse your benevolent government for harassing US citizens walking on public streets.

This has happened to me twice in my life;
1. When I was 18 - I tried to play the “I know my rights” card and it made the situation a whole lot worse all around
2. When I was 26 - I talked to the officer for about five minutes and it concluded with him apologizing for wasting my time. I said no worries, understand you have a job to do. We moved along with our lives up until today. It really wasn’t hard to not be defiant for the sake of courtesy and that courtesy was reciprocated. I can’t really blame cops sometimes given they have to deal with people like you on a daily basis.
And OMG in both cases, the officers were ARMED. It was so unexpected!

Because she is an overly emotional and hysterical woman.

Notice he never said they asked him to show his ID or papers?
They assumed he was legal since he was NOT the person they had a warrant for.
This is an excellent point. There’s no reason to believe either of the dumbasses were under suspicion of being in the country illegally, much less due to their Brown-ness. The narrative would have been a little more compelling if either of them were asked to identify themselves. The omission of such information suggests it never happened.
The only thing rational minds are left to conclude from the video and description is the ICE agents were accustomed to more cooperation from people in the neighborhood who were helping them track down leads. This woman and her father who were filled with fear due to the political propaganda of the left, were the fearful outliers.
Their psychological troubles make them victims of the left, not the right.

I'm sure you would advise any woman in her early 20s to stop and present her identification to any armed, masked man who jumped out of a car and approached them on the street.
You people are insane. One thread you'll talk about how unsafe the GNO region is and how people should all open carry and assume everyone is a threat. In this thread you're like "why would a 90 lbs woman walking alone NOT stop and chat with a man wearing a mask who approaches her on the street?"

THAT IS AWESOME!!
If they are doing it to the legals, can you imagine how the illegals must feel? No wonder border crossing is nil and self deportations are through the roof!!
If you're really lucky, maybe federal agents will chase you into your home today, too!
lunatics.
