If a kid was brought here at 4 years old illegally in 2002 and is now 19, show me how they could have gotten legalized status other than DACA. Go ahead. Show me. What avenue was available to them that they just chose to ignore?
I was specifically discussing the lady in the OP's link who is not 19 and did not come in 2002 at the age of 4, who the hell are you talking about?
Or are you just making up shite gnash your teeth about now?

She didn't willfully break the law. That is what DACA is. It is an exception for CHILDREN.
Geez, man. This isn't hard.
To be clear it is your belief that any child brought to the US should be granted citizenship upon demand?
If this is not your position please be a bit more clear, are we to do this just one time or in perpetuity?
Are you unable to see the giant incentive you are giving folks to sneak themselves and their children into the country?
We have to stop rewarding this behavior.

Take those on DACA right now that are productive and wish to become citizens and give them a path, you can end new DACA applications at the same time.
That way, those that are here and want to stay, have a path. But it ends the incentive down the road to create more DACA's.

At least 50% of the illegal families are on welfare benefits. What are they adding to the country? Besides draining resources that could be used on citizens. RAISE needs to be passed tomorrow. Common sense reform.

The exact same rationalization has been used for the last 6 amnesties dating back to 1986, yet each and every time it has to be done "just one more time because it's not fair".
We as a nation must draw a line and enforce our laws and stop rewarding cheats because of a sob story.

We need to deport the dreamers, democrats, and republicucks and start taking based immigrants, aka South African and swedistanis

Look, it's hard addressing evolving anecdotes. But the basic premise is she comes from a family with an illegal basis. Discussions at home were not likely about voting, or US Civics, or American pride, or other exposures common to citizens. In fact to an extent, those family discussions may have commonly dealt with law avoidance, system gaming, etc.
Regardless, there is a process for migrants accessing citizenship in the US. That process has been one of the most successful in the history of the planet. I am not in favor of changing it.

You're right, the "We have to take care of these people" rationalization was used in the past.
But what if we coupled this amnesty with ending the practice of DACA and DAPA entirely. None of the previous amnesties ended anything, they simply kicked the can down the road.

I'm perfectly fine with this. Anything is better than the limbo that is DACA.

Yes and the previous amnesties made promises also. This is it. This will end it. Those promises are never kept.

You Dumb frick. Go to any American University campus. Visit the math and science department. Know what you will find? A bunch of Immigrants learning the tools and technology of the future. These are the people who invent the technology that will protect us from enemy combatants if the short-sighted Bozos in Washington Don't continue to frick it up.
These are the folks who design and build the computer you type your ignint, backwoods isolationist bullshite on.
Yeah lets get rid of the smart people who don't look like us. That'll show them.

Don't even bother to close the door on your way out. Makes it easier for others to bolt into that economic paradise that lies elsewhere.
When the exodus tails off, we will shut the door and lock it real good.

I was talking about others covered under DACA. I know people in college in the situation I described covered under DACA. I'm gnashing my teeth about reality and people I actually know.

All of this is a symptom of the Democrat Party destroying the educational system over some misguided sense of "equality."
Many of our problems were caused by progs, and now they want someone else to clean up their mess.
