Not every conservative is against rational, salient discussion.
I loathe how far our communication with each other has devolved.
Unfortunately both sides are rapidly reaching a point of no return.
I feel betrayed; I haven’t come across any left-leaning folks who are willing to talk about that fact with an open ear and empathy.

The left does conspiracy theories for a living. They're professionals.
Same crazy type theories from the left, and even outright lies, but they have better production and distribution resources.
Trump Tower communicating with Alpha Bank in Moscow, as a not too distant example - pretty much right along the lines of being as crazy as anything else, and the NYT and several cable news networks ran with that nonsense.

I’m moderate right leaning until circumstances force me to take a hard line. With the left you are either in their echo chamber or a a super NAZI. No point in engagement at this time. Maybe as it starts to crumble. Hell we had a moderate left leaning democrat that ran as a Republican for the last 4 years that was labeled the supreme super Nazi.

For one here. Admittedly I look at FB at night. I love seeing what friends are doing. First thing to pop up this morning though is to turn updates off on your phone because they are going to disable emergency broadcast alerts. Ridiculous.

I liked how he would poke the Democrats.....mainly because other Republicans, overall were too chickenshit to push back when the Democrats would spout off incendiary crap and get a pass from the media.
But, I would get pushed back on angily, sometimes,by MAGA true believers when I would point out that Trump would do some really stupid, bush league crap like fire Comey when he did or make a stupid comment/request of the Ukrainian President.....or for that matter, not clearing out the White House of all Obama loyalists by Jan. 19. 2017.
