The new Mississippi districts are going to be much more regionally focused

If Tigerdroppings had a better search function, I bet I could find reams of your posts criticizing LA-6, Illinois, Maryland, etc.

I live here as well and in a burb of Memphis.
I have no issue with it at all.

What has Raphael Warnock done?
He hasn't done shite, but he's also a senator and won a statewide election. Changing the size/shape/population of congressional districts wouldn't impact his election in any way, shape or form.

Not gonna lie, I live here and hate the Dem party, but cutting Memphis into 3 parts is sketchy.
Now do New England or Illinois. I mean how do you had a sliver of a district that runs from East St Louis, through Springfield and end up in Champaign?

Illinois is completely fricked. Their map makes this TN map look like square blocks.

Why were these redistrictings all started? Would it be because California was going to eliminate 3 or 4 traditionally Red districts now would it?
Plus, basing districts on racial make up has always been unconstitutional and racist. You wouldn’t want to violate the Constitution and be racist would you?

If every district went 58-42, then every district would be red. I know math is difficult, but its more difficult when youre retarded.
That would make every district R+16, which is not what is indicated in that post.

these districts are tied together geographically and culturally, they should have unified representation
So you’re saying that all black people think alike? Do you think they all look alike too? Do they behave alike? Have the same goals because of their skin color?
Please elaborate.

I don’t know why anyone respects the rule of law or our governments with how fraudulent they are. The two parties have made a mockery of it but the long dick of the law and surveillance state will keep everyone in line I guess. Yikes!

Assuming people of a certain skin color all think alike is IMO.
Even if they do, why should a minority get guaranteed representation? When do you stop carving out different ethnic groups? Should we have all Hispanic gerrymandering? What about all Asians? Isn’t the whole concept of representative democracy that the majority selects their representative? Where is it that said that certain ethnic groups get guaranteed representation?
Or do we work from the idea that peoples thoughts and preferences aren’t driven by their skin color?

OK, does the red coloring of the counties mean that’s how it usually votes, or is that how it was voted the last election?
