Yet another Democrat-run city operating in the red

Harris County (Houston), run by of course a Dem, now has a budget shortfall of a whopping $178M.
Some of our constables will now be paid $300k/year. A constable. Social programs killing our budget yet tons of addicts and homeless still roam the streets in huge numbers.
And the City Council - and also Dora the Explorer - are all blaming Trump and Abbott for cutting SNAP. Pathetic people and absolute liars.
Democrats would struggle to operate a lemonade stand

So Houston is what happens when perpetual whiners with no solutions run things?

It’s a shame what Houston (and Dallas) have turned into over the last 50 years.

Sounds terrible. You can always move if you don’t like where you live.

Not everywhere can be as awesome as Austin.

until there is nowhere left
Why do people spend so much fighting feral hogs? Just move somewhere they aren't.

Ok, then one can run for office if they want to create change.

Yeah, ok.

Why are you bricked up for Houston, or is it just the next example of the left's failed policies frustrating you? If that is the case, you must be one tired-arse dude. Change your thinking and chill, brother.

Ferel hogs can be hunted. Having a freezer full of meat is not a bad thing at all.

I don’t know what this means. I don’t understand a lot of what you posted.
I am not frustrated at all about anything related to the city of Houston.
I don’t know what “bricked up” means.
I am not sure what thinking you are recommending that I change.
Sorry, I just don’t understand.

Of course. Contributing change / improvement is usually an option. Run for office. Make a difference. Nothing wrong with that.

rosenberg has come up short too. mayor mentioned they had received less from sales tax. i do wonder if people aren't spending as much is a sign there will be a recession on the way. anyway, taxes are going up.

Sales tax collection as a guide fail when illegals bring the cash/ black market with them. The guys in Home Depot work for cash and pay cash.
Just another unintended consequence.

While I believe you are trying hard to make a wiseass crack moving doesn’t help Houston as the story was about but the individual circumstance. Individuals moved out of NYC and NYC is not the better for it

That stupid bitch just tried ti raise property taxes again to fund “early childhood and childcare programs”
yay, another handout while robbing taxpayers blind.

Hank, how’s this new alter treating you?

So, I would have been outraged as well. But it's constable(s). Their budget goes up 300k, not an individual, thank god.
Your point is still valid, when liberals 'infest' government leadership, it always is the same result.
And I loved your "struggle to operate a lemonade stand" ... someone needs a video of this.
