This has to be brutal for Real Estate Agents/Brokers. Guess, "dating the rate" wasn't such a good idea after all.
Key Year-Over-Year Statistics
• Pending Home Sales: Dropped 11.3% year-over-year in September 2026 (and fell 7.3% from August), hitting one of the lowest points in over a decade.
• Existing-Home Sales: Decreased 2.2% year-over-year in September 2026 to a seasonally adjusted annualized rate of 3.99 million units, with declines across all four major U.S. regions (Northeast, Midwest, South, and West).
• Contract Cancellations: Reached 14.5% of homes falling out of contract in September, the highest rate outside of the early COVID-19 pandemic.
What Is Driving the Decline?
• Surging Mortgage Rates: Rapidly rising borrowing costs in late summer and fall have priced many prospective buyers out of qualifying for a home

Like many real estate agents you will be turning in the keys for your leased car soon because you can't afford it. Welp.

Realtors:
Homes sales down 11? Post the listing price at 11% higher

Good. Now housing prices will fall and all these losers can stop complaining about houses being unaffordable.

Rates today are 7.25%. Most sellers I’ve seen are offering cash incentives to buy rates down. It’s also fall when home sales decline. Also rates are cheaper today than a year ago when sales were up so what does that say exactly about the premise?

A year ago today (October 20, 2025), the average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage was approximately 6.27% to 6.30%
Why do you lie so much?

I’m ok with rates rising to 7.85 - 8.25%… that’s when the MAGIC starts!

Continued deficit spending as high as a giraffe's arse has consequences, this is just one of them.
Thanks, Congress.

Good who cares. Real estate is a racket anyways. People trying to flip Covid homes for double what they paid 6 years ago

It’s only fair since the last debate we had about this you said people weren’t paying the rate but paying above it to skert around what the rate actually was. Forgetting that dishonesty?
