Negative, and silly.

But the DeSantis people are assuming BDR won't get the same identical bullshite cacophony of attacks as Trump did; they are assuming he won't be birdogged by the MSM-DNC machine, and they're assuming if he did he would handle those things with the same effectiveness as Trump.

How would BDR have handled the BillyBush-MSM-Hillary October surprise? Remember? Remember the onslaught when half the goddamn DC Republicans were calling for Trump to resign from the race less than a month before the election? Remember how Trump responded?

Because BDR will get hit with some similar atomicly overblown, concocted, contrived BS, and his ability to knock it out of the park at that level a la DJT is by no means, a given.

Surprised it's not +24. Murdoch (who owns the WSJ) wants DeSantis really bad.

Either way you only Trumpers have work to do.

Trump's unfavorable rating on RCP is now 56%. Second only to McConnell at 57%. Pelosi is at 55%.

56% unfavorable

I expect more anti-DeSantis threads incoming.

Yep. Trump is done. He had a lot of promise but couldn't keep his ego and big mouth in check. Will always love him for putting Killery in her place.

Is Ron even running for president? Currently it's against the law in the state of Florida for a state office holder to run for federal office. Ron will have to resign his governorship or the state legislature will have to make a legal carve out for Ron in order to run for president while governor.

On the surface it would appear easy for Florida state representatives and senators to change the law for Ron but when the debate starts it could become a politically radioactive issue within the state.

The state legislature will probably hide some carveout language for Ron to run for president in a bigger bill and try to keep the issue on the down low. It will be interesting to see how this plays out with Florida voters. If I'm a Florida voter I want Ron to finish his term.

I agree. The work will be done when the campaigns kick off in earnest.

And backing Trump isn't? I mean he already lost once.

Yes, we need to find our own Fetterman or Biden.

That is the proven winning model.

Which they've already done in the past and have signaled they'll do it again.

This is a whole lot of nothing.

This would apply if somehow Trump was tricked into saying dumb things and making bad decisions.

But he does it on purpose.

Ron won't win the Midwest. Midwesterners pay attention to trade policy. It's in their culture. Ron voted to give TPP fast track authority to Obama. That is a bad look and will be used against him.

If Ron decides to resign from being Florida governor and run for president it would be a good idea for his team to understand his weaknesses and one of those is his record on trade.

The only chance to win is if DeSantis and Trump stay on the same side.

Trump can win with the support of Desantis and DeSantis can win with MAGA voters behind him.

If they fight. Forget it.

MAGA will stay home. Enough to matter anyway.

What Desantis doesn't understand is that Paul Ryan doesn't care if Desantis loses to Biden as long as the nominee isn't Trump.

Trump’s candidates in competitive races are the only people who didn’t win.

I know a little something about midwesterners. Most who voted Trump are going to vote for DeSantis.

But he as a record of killing it.

ETA: on these trade deals the devil is in the details. I liked what Trump's team did in terms of trade.
