You listed a statute. That is not a "crime", i.e., someone violating that statute. Answer the question.

Plausible deniability. Until concrete evidence comes to light, all this is gonna be is he said she said.

So even after the prosecution and the judge have seen the concrete evidence which forced Cohen to plea, you still want to say that said evidence doesn't exist?

I guess you're gonna go with "A Crime isn't a Crime"?

As was noted yesterday, the Prosecutors and Judge wouldn't let Cohen plea to crimes that they didn't believe were committed.

Funny...I don't see Trump's name anywhere in the quoted text. And just because he was doing it to influence the campaign doesn't mean Trump saw it that way - especially when you consider he's been dishing out hush money for more than half of his life.

He can know about payments and he can direct payments. What he can’t do is direct payments that he knew were illegal. Evidence of that knowledge will be very hard to prove.

And that’s based on the underlying premise that the money is considered a campaign contribution... good luck

Again, the courts aren't just taking people's word on this. They have corroborating documents

So, on a scale of "got heeem" to "nothingbirger" ; where would you rate this amazing development?

This is specifically what Cohen did to violate the statue I posted earlier in this thread. Not sure what else you are asking for?

quote:

COHEN caused and made the payments described herein in order to influence the 2016 presidential election. In so doing, he coordinated with one or more members of the campaign, including through meetings and phone calls, about the fact, nature, and timing of the payments. As a result of the payments solicited and made by COHEN, neither Woman-1 nor Woman-2 spoke to the press prior to the election.

This is quite fun. You are getting works up over something that will never come to fruition.

What crimes baw? Two of them are scum (we discussed this yesterday). They got what they deserved (as do many in DC - they just happened to play for the wrong team).

What did Flynn go down for? Lying to the FBI? Okay. Let me know when he ends up in jail.

Do not even know who the fourth is but I will cede them to you.

Come on man. Do not let this stuff eat you up like this.

ETA: The fourth was Pap, right? What did he go down for? Don’t overstate your case. Two were scum. Focus on them. The other two were petty BS.

ETA2: Pap went down for lying to FBI about what Mifsud told him. A damn volunteer. The Left is on a rampage

Exactly. What COHEN did. I don't see Trump's name anywhere in the quoted text. And while Cohen may have thought what he was doing was influencing the election, Trump may have just seen it as granting another one of his side pieces a payout.

I rank this as Individual-1 (aka President Trump) is an unindicted co-conspirator in 2 federal felonies.

For me it's all just fodder for the mid terms and 2020. Like I said yesterday, not rooting for a crisis.
