I dress like an adult when I travel. No T-shirts, baseball hats, hoodies or anything else that a 12 year-old might wear when they travel.

I generally don’t broadcast my political affiliations. Either way roughly 1 half of the population will irrationally hate me, I just as soon keep them guessing why.
I will say that whether intended or not wearing clothing with politician on it is “cult of personality” type behavior that we should guard against. I noticed this here when Obama was first elected, and found it as distasteful as North Korean propaganda. I find it even more distasteful when said individual can’t run for office again.
I differentiate between slogans “MAGA” “Hope and Change” and near deification of our the human.

I wore mine proudly, prior to the last presidential election. I was in a store when an elderly gentleman and his wife approached me to compliment me on my shirt. The guy says, "I wish I could wear a shirt like that when I go out". I assured him that he could. Then he tells me he would be afraid that he gets into a confrontation with a Trump hater or a democrat. I said, you would love the shirt I have at home. It says "I have PTSD...Pretty Tired of Stupid Democrats". He asked, "what would you do if a big Democrat comes up to you and says he has a problem with your shirt?" I said, I would ask him what kind of Democrat he was, a stupid one or a smart one!"
