Wait, what? Are Yahweh god and Jehoveh god the same god?

If they adhered to the principles of the Constitution, absolutely.

Tell us all about Allah revelator and then please recount several of the ways Allah and the Judeo-Christian Jehovah differ.

Christianity: Christianity is the only religion that teaches man can do nothing to earn or pay his way into heaven. Man, a slave to the sin nature he was born with, must completely rely on the grace of God in applying Jesus Christ’s sacrifice to the sins of the believer. People are saved by faith in the death and resurrection of Christ. Upon death, the spirits of Christians go to heaven, while the spirits of unbelievers go to a temporary holding place called hell. At the final judgment, unbelievers are separated from God for eternity in the lake of fire.
Islam: Islam is a take-off on the Christian/Judeo God. Muslims believe salvation comes to those who obey Allah sufficiently that good deeds outweigh the bad. Muslims hope that repeating what Muhammad did and said will be enough to get to heaven, but they also recite extra prayers, fast, go on pilgrimages, and perform good works in hope of tipping the scales. Martyrdom in service to Allah is the only work guaranteed to send a worshiper to paradise.

I would rather vote for an atheist or agnostic over a Christian anyday if I agreed with his political views seeing as I am agnostic. I would hesitate to vote for a Muslim though and I have no problem with Christians unless they are like Mike Huckabee.

I'm atheist so yes.
I would be very hesitant to vote for any Muslim.

I believe this was a big debate amongst theologians for centuries. I'm not sure if it's a settled question. Martin Luther believed this, but am I wrong that the Church at the time held otherwise?

How is that post in any way responsive to a question about how we are chopping up god?
Jews have their god. Christians believe that they believe in the same god as the Jews, but Jews are practicing an imperfect form of their religion because it lacks the revelation and clarification of the New Testament. Muslims believe that they believe in the same god as the Jews and Christians, but Jews and Christians are practicing an imperfect form of their religion because it lacks the revelation and clarification of the Qur'an.
Asserting that Christians and Muslims worship different gods is about as useful as saying that Protestants and Catholics worship different gods.

It's a settled question among mainline Protestant denominations. It is still considered heresy by the Catholic church. If you would like to spend the next few hours going down the apologetics rabbit hole, google "sola fide". That's the fancy latin for "by faith alone" and it's the technical marker for the entire debate.

are western Christians...y'all only believe when it is convenient...but deep in your hearts you know better. The folks who are true believers would never question a voice in their head that tells them to strap a bomb to themselves...they obey. Most western Crhistians would seek help from a scientist if they started hearing such shite OR if their preacher stood up and started suggesting such shite they would not only immediately find a preacher who said shite they agreed with they would encourage others to do so also....a true believer is insane and stupid and would sit there and become indoctrinated...we do have those in the western world of christianity but they are few and far between because western civilization only asks that we pretend to believe...where other cultures will lop your head off if you don't....
There is truth in this. I've always thought...if people TRULY believed there was a supreme being watching their every move, would they act the way they do? Would they be so nonchalant about taking the Eucharist? Would they only go to church on some sundays? True believers act like true believers. For western Christians, religion is a cultural aspect, a family or community tradition. And though they won't admit it, that's all it is.

Right. That's what I thought. Catholics and Protestants disagree, so the post I responded to was incorrect.

Yes. Let us move past the days of atheist Presidents having to attend Black Power Christian Churches in order to be palatable candidates.

If the gospel of Jesus as told in the New Testament is true, and someone GENUINELY believes it as surely as they believe in their own existence, there is no logical explanation for doing ANYTHING else apart from spreading that gospel. Everything else is, relatively speaking, meaningless in the light of eternity.
Deep down, in places we suppress and don't talk about in church, at least some small part of all of us suspects it isn't true. Our actions prove as much. If only subconsciously we acknowledge some difference between objective reality and our religion.
