Great minds think alike.
Doesn't matter were I travel, I find a way to arm myself at this age and stage.
Italy and Japan have great cutlery stores. Germany has a few too.
Most of Eastern Europe has various places and people where you can get what you need.
Spain, France, the UK, Belgium ... just stay away from those places. They're not worth it anylonger.

Been there .... first time was in the early 80s. Last time was for a retirement party for a Brig I served with who was there as part of the US NATO staff for his last twenty years.
Amsterdam and Nuremberg have better red light districts fwiw.
