This is why China is kicking are arse. We had a bunch of corrupt lawyers running the Country. In Contrast China has Engineers running their country who are focused on building and improving China's standard of Living

MIC means "Military Industrial Complex," does it not? The flippant, and incorrect use of this obfuscates the direct culpability of people that we all elect. It's not some shady cabal of former four star generals and Raytheon sucking money out of the US, without Congress.

From someone who is in DC quite a bit, I can tell you that you really don't want that. Some of these Senators and Representatives are clueless, and hire kids to run their offices who are also clueless, but don't know it. You need someone there to guide on important issues. You don't want these hired guns from large companies jamming legislation and money down their throats. I ran into one of the nicest former Congressmen (Gregg Harper) you'll ever meet this morning, after meeting with Cindy Hyde-Smith. He is a lobbyist now, and that dude is as honest as you'll ever meet

I was in a position to work with state legislators on some contested legislation and it was really remarkable how ignorant our legislators are on most issues they’re voting on. The staffers run the office, hear all of the arguments and basically tell them what they should do.

I am have an Engineering graduate degree and probably provide more value to humanity in one day than a hundred of elite-level litigants, attorneys, and politicians. It’s time we pivot to the problem solvers who view government positions as avocations.
