There are millions of police encounters in a year. Police are undertrained and go into dangerous situations and make split second decisions.
Our entire society should not be on the edge of a cliff ready to go over if there is tragic mistake - because there inevitably will be.

For me, nothing is the problem as the system is working as it is supposed to.
I have a suspicion that others won't view it that way.
I will be surprised if the Wolfe City department had body or dash cams. We're talking about a tiny little town. The fact that we haven't seen any video from witnesses yet would lead me to think there may not be any citizen video. Supposedly the convenience store has outdoor cams that might have captured it. IF (and I'm not saying it is) a bad shoot, they may be trying to hold off on releasing the video because they know it will ignite a firestorm.

BLM will ignore this one IF the past practices continue. For some reason they only get pissed when the shooting is justified.
BLM and Antifa won't do shite bc this is deep in redneck NE Texas. That's why.

This is also Texas. While it is possible that a democrat DA is trying to notch his belt on this, I don't feel like it's that likely. If the Texas Rangers brought thos guy in after 2 days, it seems to me, and this is only an early observation without knowing the facts, purely conjecture, but the cop might be in real trouble on this one.

Not on it's face.
But there will be an element of the public that say because the people fighting were black, the policeman was more likely to escalate and shoot.
I, of course, hold no opinion on this. Don't know the man or much about the situation and leave it up to the people that get paid to investigate to, well.... investigate.

Interesting theory. The reaction to this incident could tell us quite a bit then. This one sounds pretty tragic and unnecessary on first blush. Although they all typically start out that way and then as facts start to trickle out a different picture is revealed. Cop was arrested quickly though so...maybe that the trick to keeping the twitter mafia settled.

I would abolish every municipal police force under population of 100k, this needs to be purview of Sheriffs or Metro forces

Because the cop was arrested without public pressure.

Odd that BLM/Antifa marching orders don’t defend the good blacks like this, but instead defend thugs and felons killed resisted arrest for their crimes
Odd

Cops don't tend to just taze and shoot people being calm and passive.

oh horse shite
If they did it all the time we wouldn't continually hear about old cases because there would be a new one each week.

The Texas Rangers’ tweet stated that he resisted arrest

It sounds like the black man, who had previously defended cops and white people on FB, became very upset during the encounter. I could see a guy like him pulling away from the cop while he was explaining that he was helping the woman and not assaulting her. “I am the good guy here bro! What are you doing?” The fact that they arrested him and charged with murder so quickly would suggest that there was at least one person who witnessed the encounter and testified that the black man was the hero and not the villain but the cop attempted to arrest and cuff him anyway. I could see myself trying to pull away in the heat of the moment if I had just came to someone’s aid but a cop was treating me as if I were the bad guy. Tough situation. We want people to comply and say sort it out in court but 90% of us would be so confused and upset during a situation like that and there is no telling if you would make a move to resist being cuffed if you were being arrested after coming to someone’s aid.
