My neighbor brags on his 27 year old Kubota lawn tractor. I think I’ll look into one when my current mower dies.

Looks like CASE IH is about to pop off

Tractor Supply had as well.
I say had, because they’ve lost $2 billion in market share and have openly said they are rolling back on the woke shite.

My oldest sister has been the general manager of a Kubota dealership in north Louisiana since the mid-90s. My family all uses Kubota. They really do make a solid tractor for small farm/light utility services.
According to her, most of the farmers in northeast Louisiana are long term JD people because “that’s what granddiddy used” and they don’t know any different. The majority of her business comes from out of state (Arklamiss and Arklatex).
If there is one thing that could sever those generational ties with those baws and their Green, could be the woke yoke being tied around their necks.

Kubota finna eat… unless they’ve joined the pride party as well

I’m largely unfamiliar with what data goes into that score. Cliffs?

Bill Gates is listed as their largest shareholder
Gates is also the largest farm land owner in this country. So my guess is that he buys nothing but JD equipment which in turn gives him a lot of sayso with how Deere does their business.

Basically the only thing Deere is good for these is large 250+ HP ag tractors (which you’re not allowed to work on).
They recently had their butts handed to them in court over that issue I think last year, and now owners should have the ability to work on their tractors themselves, including the electronics.
I used to be a hardcore JD guy as that is what we used on the farm when I was growing up. Now however as an adult, when it comes to compact or utility tractors, it is either Kubota or Mahindra for me.

Deere's shitty products ruined them long before they started courting DEI

quote:Some major investors including mutual fund managers, will invest less for lower ESG scores.
Environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing offers investors a way to grow their portfolio while doing good. This investment strategy has two goals: generating a financial return while also promoting a positive impact for the environment, social issues and corporate governance. If you’re interested in investing in companies that align with your values, an ESG approach may be a good fit.

The “E” in ESG stands for environmental. Evaluating companies using these criteria means looking at what steps it’s taking to reduce its carbon footprint and promote environmental protections

2. Social impacts
“S” is for social and for investing purposes, it refers to companies that actively encourage good relationships with their employees, consumers and the broader community. You can measure a company’s social impact by considering things like:
How they treat their employees and the overall company culture
Employee pay, benefits and other perks
Emphasis on training and the development of a skilled workforce
Employee policies regarding safety and sexual harassment
Diversification in hiring and equal employment opportunities
Relationships with consumers and whether the company has a history of complaints or lawsuits

Corporations that adhere to woke policies are going down. You would think this company would know their customers. I still don’t understand why any companies support ideology.

quote:It's not that. In order to appear attractive to some major investors and fund managers, they have to have good ESG scores. That means they have to satisfy leftists through fealty to the climate change agenda, diversity, etc. Those with a fiduciary responsibility have manipulated their thinking into believing that good ESG scores correlate with stability. You can bet there are a few "studies" with manipulated results that suggest that, hence justifying their push.
You would think this company would know their customers
