Will the bombing in Afghanistan keep our troops there?

There are obviously people who want us to stay there and I have no doubt many will attempt to use this tragedy to their advantage
You'll hear all sorts of platitudes like "our work isn't done here" and there will be a big push for us to remain there indefinitely.

Biden learning, as Trump did, and as all men know, that it’s hard to pull out.

Of course they will. That was the whole Obama /Biden plan for years now. Troops should have Ben gone since May 1. Peace agreement was signed by trump and taliban. Now the USA / Biden broke that deal

So the arbitrary 9/11 timeline has already cost us the possibility of actually leaving

Pull out. Not our problem. We can't stay there forever. Let the animals kill each other. Trump should have done it long ago and it was disappointing that he didn't.

End our participation in the conflict in Afghanistan. Period.

We should leave from everywhere overseas except for a few strategic locations, namely Japan, South Korea, and Germany. Everywhere else, leave. No more nation building. You frick with us, we’ll come in and wreck your shite, go hone, and you can build it back yourself on your own dime.
At least that they way it should be but that isn’t profitable for the military-industrial complex.

Why stay in Germany? Those frickers have allowed us to protect them and instead of funding their own military, they use the money for social welfare programs.

Probly . I don’t think Biden pulls the Troops out . Something will happen that gives him a reason to leave them or add more .

We should have left years ago, like Will Monney left Big Whiskey, threatening to come back and kill errybody and their damn dog.

There are some fairly significant consequences for not pulling out, though.

Have the Chinese gone in yet? They seem to enjoy throwing money around to gain access

quote:To be fair, the Taliban doesn't really want us gone. We provide a huge funding stream for them, even if it is indirectly through corrupt Afghanistan government/military/police officials. If we pull out, a huge revenue stream is gone for them. Hence, they go big when we threaten to leave with the hopes we stay. My .02.
