I agree with you. But sometimes a light can go off for you if someone on your team is affected.
There are some fricked up people in NY. There are also some great people.
Truth is that it’s full of people in the middle just trying to make it and do right by their families.
They just aren’t the friendliest bunch but I get why they aren’t. It would be exhausting to say hey y’all a million times a day. Too many people

It's the grab poles in NYC region trains....I shudder at the thought of the germs and communicable disease resting upon those things. But you gotta grab ahold or you're going flying into someone.

When you travel extensively, you quickly realize that this basically 95% of people on Earth.

Completely understandable.

Oh I know it, and no flaw there Hankster.
But as for those grabbin' poles....they are seriously sorta frightening. That's a lot of hand action....that's their sole purpose in life.

When it comes to doing an efficient job spreading a potentially deadly infection it is a marvelous game changer. I'll stick to my Chevy if it doesn't hair lip anybody.

Plus if you make eye contact there your fingernails fall out. It must be the water.

It seems to only be while in transit or open public areas, though.
When I’ve been, once you get to speak with people in contained environments - bar, restaurant, etc. - they were pretty par for the course, often kind and polite.

My guess would be ... 2, 3, 1.

As someone who lives here, I hear far, far more pathetic judgmental attitudes coming from people like you about NY'ers than I do vice versa.
New Yorkers and New Englanders look down on everyone else because they think they're better than everyone. That's not exactly a secret.

That's weird. I'm not sure where southerners get that impression.

Your complaining about overpopulation is at the top of the enviro-climate change list, bub.

As stated, what he said isn't accurate. Now if he wanted to amend that to liberals, especially liberal NE mouthpieces, whether it's the Atlantic, the gray haggard lady, Fredo, and various talking heads/writers/politicians then he's dead right. Unfortunately the loudest and most visible voices frequently give a skewed perception for a geographic region.
When my girlfriend worked for Lockheed in Marietta they absorbed one of the California plants and a decent portion of the workers were being transferred. There were emails circulating from the granolas wondering if the clay roads would hurt their cars, or if a working mother would be socially accepted when they moved to Atlanta.

But those emails were probably from "average Joes" with average perceptions, as opposed to

For sure. I'm from the NE and all that he said was stupid
It's the same as the dude from SC claiming all Yankees (so stupid) want to change the culture
