Yes we do; they are currently being abused and rotting in DC jails.

Christ in Heaven this is Sad.

We are in the same spot that our Founding Fathers were in 1775. We are paying huge amounts of taxes and getting little in return. The American colonist were shipping off their hard work over seas to a country that many had never been to and getting harassed in return.
Sounds familiar (ukraine) ?

My previous metro council member would walk away when she saw me coming towards her. My current little female state representative does not do shite for our district but toots her horn for some award that she won. When I question her she replies with a snarky remark that she could come to speak to our 'group'.She never appears in public in our district. Our mayorette appears to be a in a different reality. Since the end of the plandemic our governor has gone into hiding.

We are not being represented and our leadership does not care for the People.
We are in a dark time.

How about an oppressive centralized government taking the taxes from freedom loving Americans and using that taxpayer money to buy the votes of their government dependent voters? That almost taxation without representation.

Good points. Two of the odd examples of Britain's meddling with the colonies was about wood and sheep. They needed wood to build their massive fleet so they confiscated colonists tree wood.
And they restricted colonies raising sheep because it competed with the English wool industry. To this day Americans do not eat mutton like the British do because mutton was rare in the colonies and we never developed a taste for it.
To this day Zach has never tasted sheep meat.

Please don't argue the point of representation, because we do have that. You may be unhappy with them, but you or another American voted for them. What we don't seem to have are Patriots who decide to run for office. The original Patriots risked everything to start a new country. I don't see anyone in politics who qualifies for the moniker of Patriot.
Conservatives stopped being true conservatives about 20 years ago. There is no more governing, it's only about winning daily talking points.

Let me know when you take the red pill. You still haven’t come to the realization of just how much globalist money impacts campaigns. Even if their candidates don’t actually win, they can make them “win” by other means.

They have found the perfect way to fool people like you. Just keep the shell of a constitutional republic standing and operate it like a Death Star from within. No one can argue with the results, because they can only see what’s on the outside.

The revolution was more complicated than just taxes. The taxes might have been a catalyst that set off the powder keg, but things had been building long before that. The Declaration of Independence is basically a document that lists the grievances of the colonists. A lot of it had to do with fighting in Britain's wars.

The particular manifestation of human wickedness that are Marxism and National Socialism had not infected the British mind and soul then. Our enemy now is far more dangerous than the colonizing Brits.

I completely agree with this statement. In the American Revolutionary War it was the wealthy land owner that signed the Declaration of Independence, they were the ones that had the most to lose. Do you think that fat cats in DC would do that today? Heck No!!

Sure, there was the every day guy that fought and risked much to win the war, just like those who are still in jail due Jan 6th, and I think there are millions of every day Americans that would do that today. The problem is we don't have the leadership, the George Washington's, the Ben Franklin's, the Thomas Jefferson's, or the Thomas Payne's today that would risk their fortunes like those great Americans.
