The CV19 pandemic is so bad, in America, that more people have died in car accidents than from CV19 since February. Also, more from cancer, non-covid related pneumonia, non-covid related cardiac issues, and being an acquaintance of the Clintons.
Ok, I might have embellished that last statistic, but you get the point.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a bigger steaming pile of shite than that article. Like the previous poster said, couldn't make it passed paragraph 4.

When the premise of the article is America is inherently a horrible place, it’s hard to trust anything else. Tailback just so happens to hate America, so he loves the article.

I just know that you’re awfully upset. I wouldn’t imagine someone who posts an article that says:
is what you would call mentally stable
quote:
Racist policies that have endured since the days of colonization and slavery left Indigenous and Black Americans especially vulnerable to COVID-19

Haven't we had like 40,000 less deaths than Europe?

that is one disjointed article. it's all over the place from one paragraph to the next
this is literally the biggest lie that can be disseminated about Covid, other than pretending it's "just the flu"
quote:
Social distancing worked. But the indiscriminate lockdown was necessary only because America’s leaders wasted months of prep time.

We know that you love the article.
We know that the article condemns Trump's travel ban from China, and that you think travel from the hotbed of a pandemic into the USA is a good thing.
We know that the article conveniently leaves out that Democratic Gov Cuomo defied Trumps travel ban, allowing thousands into NY and NJ and CT . Why do you look the other way when Democrat policies resulted in NY and NJ with over 33% of the entire country's Covid deaths. Is it because you hate America?

Anyone who disagrees with you "hates America"
I just have the ability to look at things from both sides and you don't.
You, on the other hand, remind me of this dude

do you honestly believe that there is a hypothetical path for the US that wouldn't have resulted in a lockdown of some sort, like the article argues?

America has failed to protect its people, leaving them with illness and financial ruin. It has lost its status as a global leader. It has careened between inaction and ineptitude. The breadth and magnitude of its errors are difficult, in the moment, to truly fathom.
This isn’t true
quote:
United States, which has just 4 percent of the world’s population but a quarter of its confirmed COVID-19 cases and deaths.
Testing isn’t standardized. It’s different from country to country, therefore this stat is irrelevant.
quote:
because the richest country in the world still lacks sufficient testing to accurately count its sick citizens.
Who’s not getting tested?
And you think this is a good article? That says a lot about you and just how you “see things from both sides”

It's a fair question. I believe we were woefully unprepared for the pandemic and I believe that extends beyond the Trump administration. I think he didn't want it to be as pronounced as it is, and he kept deflecting and blaming, because that's what he does. He has culpability, but others do as well. It's a decades old problem and we're getting our asses kicked because of it. I think the guy has a lot of good points. Many I agree with, some I don't, but to say someone "hates America" because they look at something objectively, or at least attempts to, is laughable. It's juvenile, but hey, that the poliboard echochamber for you.

i can't wait for 2023 when Germany is still dealing with Covid and waiting on the miracle vaccine while the US isn't as affected due to spread, only to have the US blamed for Germany's issues. we literally cannot win

I noticed that you couldn't answer the question, or wouldn't.
Why do you look the other way when Democrat policies resulted in NY and NJ with over 33% of the entire country's Covid deaths?
How can you look the other way when Democrats made it policy to send Covid positive patients into nursing homes?

Anyone who posts this article as a comprehensive look at America’s handling of the pandemic does not have the ability to look at things from both sides.

yeah it's exclusively a look at the federal level, which just highlights the left's desire to literally destroy the basis of the current American government. they want an incredibly strong federal government and are only discussing covid within this imaginary ideal, ignoring the reality that they hate (that we're a collection of 50 states + a federal government, and the states are largely responsible for covid-related issues like healthcare, testing, etc)
