Why the obvious mistakes in conservative X posts?

There are three X posts currently being discussed on this Board. Each of them reflect the majority view on the Board (including mine). The all contain obvious errors.
1. Referring to Tulsi Gabbard as the FORMER DNI.
2. Showing a clip from a Maryland school board meeting and saying it was from California.
3. Featuring an EIGHT year old clip from Woody Harrelson, one of the only actors to call out deep state frickery, and present it as if he were some kind of current threat to President Trump.
Why the errors? Is it just a function of sloppy, AI generated content? Is there some strategy to make conservatives look ignorant? Something else?

Online conservatives have a grifting problem IMO. Moderately intelligent people who can speak well (or at least come up with decent X posts) see this as a gold rush and are cashing in.
They can't rely on extracting value from big networks and "news" sites like their liberal counterparts can.

That's a good theory. It's just strange that they have an error rate higher than the average PoliBoard poster.
Seriously, what's the point of quoting Tulsi Gabbard and then diminishing her importance and your own credibility by calling her the FORMER DNI?
I don't follow liberals on X, do you think they have such a high error rate in objective facts?

Yup. Grievance farmers pump out the outrage of the day to get clicks. People fall for it, which is why they do it.
In the last few days we have had posters rush here to tell us the largest trucking company in the U.S. was going to stop going to NYC.....it isn't. Recycled a story about Gov Hobbs from 18 months ago as breaking news. . and relentlessly push nonsensical conspiracy theories.
Engagement farming clearly works with a segment of the population, don't see it changing anytime soon.

The demand for ragebait is larger than the supply of ragebait

At its heart, it's an emotional thinking problem. The grifters just know how to exploit their demand for content that will lead to emotional reacts

I agree with this, I just don't understand the disrespect for their readers in not stating BASIC facts correctly. It's so common that it can't be an accident. Again, maybe it happens on the left as well.
Is it to mock their audience??? To show they will accept anything as true as long as the thrust is "Our team is the bestest!"

There have been multiple studies that confirm that Conservatives are more susceptible , and more willing to share, fake news. While it took a while to develop we are absolutely seeing on the left these days, especially the extreme left.

Academia has conducted studies that shed a negative light on the right side of the political spectrum? Do tell.

....and their findings are confirmed here daily.
Funny how that works.

I watched nearly half the country buy into Trump & Russian collusion so spare me this bullshite about the left having more discernment. All parts of the political spectrum have idiots susceptible to believing people they claim are authoritative, not because they know anything about the validity of the information but because they want it to be true.
You just provided a prime example of this.

Clicks. Twitter or X is a dumpster. I try not to venture over there because of the slime that is produced there on both sides. It makes me feel gross.
The reason "errors" are allowed is because there is no one there to check them. Here, you say something stupid, you will be called out in real time. There, if you have a blue check, you don't respond to people. You just shitpost and hope for clicks that you can then use to monetize in some sort of way. It's disingenuous and low IQ.

Social media is garbage, but people keep spending hours a day rewarding posters for false content. If so many people didn't place so much value on social media, the problem might resolve itself.
People need to stop giving them clicks and views.

This is how our news operates.
It's not just a few people on X that do this. For example, just look at the yahoo or msn homepage. It's just one big page of rage bait headlines.

I think liberals are smarter with their deception than the grifting conservatives are. Liberals operate on omission, splicing quotes together, and presenting the most extreme outcomes of something as likely or even certain. Their claims don't stand up to minimal amounts of research, but most people do 0 research and either only read the headline or at most the article, then move on believing whatever it was. Then even if you prove it as false later its such an engrained belief by that point that you can't convince them.

They aren't errors. They are click bait.

they appeal to much different people at the present time.
Dems are going after college educated females, Grifting conservatives are talking to working class people.
Both of these groups need to be talked to like children.
