re: Why the attention to Cornell 7? We all know why

So if the Cornell case turns out to not be rape, but it gets unlimited press coverage, while 1000 other actual rapes during that time get no press coverage, you don't think that negatively affects women? We have very little actual information about the Cornell case. At this point it's all hearsay and tidbits that the legal parties have leaked to sway public opinion. This is getting so much attention because it involves wealthy "white" males.

Yeah, they weren't raping her bud. It was consensual. That had texts to prove it.

There was a period before the disinvitation in which she was embarrassed. She even texted the main guy at the frat about it.

Went to Indian Springs School, a high end private high school. I just don't understand her family letting it play out like this.

That is a super rich area. Kind of suspected that or Mountain Brook since rich people like to send their kids to schools like Cornell.
I live in Birmingham and my sense is that Redmont Park, besides being affluent, is much more left leaning and progressive. Mountain Brook has old money dems in it, and they will put Doug Jones signs in their yard because "Tuberville is for the rednecks", but it is still pretty conservative. This is important because Mountain Brook girls are still taught that despite what feminism suggests, you cant be a raging hoe. I'd bet Jane Doe got a proper progressive upbringing and was under the illusion that boys and gorls are the same and a boss bitch can have an orgy without repercussions...just like men! I think she's probably realized by now she was sold a lie and thats not how the world works.

Very small school too. I wonder if she felt a level of anonymity at a larger school (Cornell) and that she could do whatever and no one would care.

It’s going to be difficult to prove rape when the victim starts with a consensual drunken threesome in a frat house because the jurors (most men and women) will just see her as a promiscuous coed who became vindictive after she was spurned by the frats.

lesson to frats everywhere:
If you pull a train on a willing girl, you are going to have to let her hang around.

What I find interesting is that this girl is publicly identified and apparently left all her social media up. Her identity and pics are everywhere. She’s actually from Bham, AL. Who is advising her on this and letting all this happen?
Bet if she doesn't already she will have an OF site setup within a year of this blowing over.

The report said she started to turn her story after the backlash of people shunning her and calling her a whore.
In my day, the sexual revolution would have said she was a very liberated young woman.
And then there is history...

Even better lesson?
Don’t be degenerates. Don’t gangbang ANYBODY. Not even the willing ones.

This girl acted like a huge degenerate whore. She was completely ashamed and embarrassed from the poor decisions she made. The liberal culture that surrounds her tells her it’s not her fault, it’s the “patriarchy” who made her do it. She only wanted to engage in a simple drug fueled orgy getting banged by 3 guys. When the 4th guy showed up (even though she didn’t tell him to leave), it was too much.
I loved watching (over the weekend, during downtime) Matt Walsh and Ben Shapiro just hammer this home..
But as Shapiro correctly pointed out... she was fine with it until she started getting shamed by her 'big sister' in the sorority, that triggered her attitude to change.
Since I was a young pup.... girls have acted as whores. When the rep (or event) gets exposed, some are shamed; some embrace and now it common their story starts changing.
As someone correctly pointed out 'Regret is not rape', though there is certainly a female movement which wants there to be no time limit on 'no means no'... even years after the fact.

QUESTION: You don’t think there’s a problem with sexual assault? Because a lot of women are coming forward now.
CAMILE PAGLIA: No. In cases of real rape, of course it should be prosecuted. Of course real rape is a crime. But this is not real rape. We’ve been arguing about dating encounters with miscommunications now for decades. It’s absolutely infantilizing to women. It must stop.

It's going to be difficult to prove rape because it likely wasn't rape. She tried to be cool and act like a skank and didn't like the aftermath. Now, I assume, her life is mediocre and she's trying to get a pay day in civil court.

Critically, there were no other witnesses to what happened in that room.
She initially said she:
"could not remember how it started but she then engaged in a threesome with Male Number 1 and Male Number 4 involving oral sex and vaginal sex. She described her level of intoxication as “8 out of 10” at this point. “The threesome continued until at some point, around 5:45am, [Jane Doe] said [she] was tired and needed to turn in. At that point, both guys stopped the threesome with [her] as far as [she] can remember.”
However, in her new statement, she apparently now claims she was forced to perform oral sex on those two.

I’m sorry — you are consenting to sex.
He is right to think you have consented to go up there.
Seems like to me the girl consented so what's the problem??

Abc news:
“If I just know what happened, then I can feel a little bit better and move on and maybe be able to stay at this school,” Doe told Ingalls, according to a recording of the call.
She mentioned that she had sustained physical harm from the episode, was struggling to finish the semester and could not understand how the events of the evening transpired. Ingalls was insistent: “You did tell me you were sober, by the way,” he said, according to the recording. “You did, you said you hadn’t been anywhere." She pushed back, saying “That is not true. I never would have said that.”
Jane Doe also asked about how so many people ended up in the bedroom where the sexual encounters took place over the course of hours.
“Do you remember how any of these guys walked in?” she asked.
“The door was just unlocked…the party was sort of like crowded…there was nowhere else to go,” he responded. Nowhere in that conversation did Ingalls mention the messages he sent into his fraternity’s Snapchat group in which he openly invited others to the room. “Like you can walk in and whip it out,” the Ingalls wrote in the group, which had nearly 60 members. “Boys come whip it out.”
At one point in the call, Jane Doe described the incident bluntly: “What y'all did would be classified as gang rape.”
“It's possible that both of us like remember this and it's not true,” Ingalls said at another point during the call.
“I don't think that that's true. No, no, because I remember looking up and being like that is too many people,” she responded.
