Then we will ALL be sure and vote for your guy next. Just tell us who it is, this Libertarian Stalwart of Jeffersonian Republicanism and Ideals with Washingtons Graciousness and Leadership qualities.

Pray tell, who should we vote for?

You people don’t remember the media harassing Trump because he was too dismissive of mask mandates and Covid?

It obviously didn’t work, he still lost the presidency. Who cares that it was an election year, his actions failed us and he lost the election because of it.

Trump did the two week to flatten the curve and then turned it over to the states to handle their own Covid-19 policies.

He also trotted out that little elf to shame anyone who didn't comply into submission.

Wishful thinking. The two weeks stretched into months. And Trump enabled federal policies that exacerbated aspects of the lockdowns. And did not intervene in other areas.

Ohhh. Please tell me how you’d handle everything with the benefit of hindsight and the comfort of knowing that no one actually gives a frick what you think.

And those who still possess free and rational thought dismissed nearly everything Fauci was spewing. Trump was very adamant about allowing individual states to handle their own Covid-19 policies….quit being an irrational hater baw…lol

That is why Mr. Trump’s criticism on Wednesday — “I think it’s too soon,” the president said during an afternoon briefing — has baffled Mr. Kemp and Georgia Republicans, whose first-term governor rode to victory on a Trump endorsement.

The president amped up his criticism on Thursday. “I want them to open,” he said of businesses, “and I want them to open as soon as possible and I want the state to open. But I was not happy with Brian Kemp. I will tell you that.”

Mr. Trump’s public scoldings of Mr. Kemp sent a confusing message to other Republican governors who are considering similar moves.

“You know you’re going to be left hanging out to dry if you make a call that’s at odds with Trump’s psyche or mood or thinking on a given day,” said Mark Sanford, the former Republican governor of South Carolina and a persistent critic of Mr. Trump. “And I think that in political terms, given the size of his base, that adds a level of complexity, particularly for red-state governors.”

The president’s criticism did not cause Mr. Kemp to adjust his plan, but the opposition to the governor’s order now puts Mr. Trump in the same camp as liberal Democrats like Ms. Bottoms. The president’s comments on Wednesday are just one shard of his seemingly contradictory series of positions regarding when to relax social distancing measures and reopen American businesses.

Last Thursday, Mr. Trump announced a careful, phased system for states to follow as they moved closer to normalcy. The next day, he unleashed a series of tweets encouraging protesters to “liberate” three states — Michigan, Minnesota and Virginia — where Democratic governors have imposed strict social distancing restrictions.

The president has also said in the past that he has “total” authority to impose his will on the states, a position he later appeared to reverse. Then his attorney general, William P. Barr, said that the federal government might sue states that put in place measures the White House disagrees with.

It's pretty funny. They have this image of the guy as being a bull in the china shop, tough as nails, awesome frick you attitude, and then they make the weakest excuses for the shitty job he did in 2020.

What were the things Trump was doing that Ron was speaking out against and proposing an alternate course on?

There’s a shite ton of DeSantians who like to forget Trump’s sensible handling of Covid-19 and claim Trump was the initiator of the lockdowns. Trump did the two week to flatten the curve and then turned it over to the states to handle their own Covid-19 policies

You argued a few days ago nobody knew enough to not "panic." But we did. There was no need to panic.

Where did the states and cities get the funding to lock everything down?

How long could a tyrannical Dem governor/mayor have locked their people down without the flood of Covid Trumpbucks? Maybe 5 days?

Moreover, nobody ever wants to consider that the CDC is in the executive branch. All the f'n lying about Covid, all the BS stats - that was Trump's administration doing that until he was subbed out by Biden.

Couple of things here:

Bucky the Badger is the mascot for the University of Wisconsin

I’m pretty sure, and I very well could be wrong, the over a year thing Bucky mentioned is including the time period that it was still overseas, we knew about it, but it hadn’t made it here yet, and going into Trump’s last day in office January ‘21.
