Serious question. He's out in the lobby hammering the guy. What's the strategy here? I know it must be some genius strategy only a man of his intellectual ability could devise, but anyone have any ideas ?

First, the judge came biased.
Second, he's not GOPe and use to being the bottom.

Get the judge to become emotional. Make errors. Judges DO NOT LIKE to be questioned. They usually get away with garbage rulings because most defendants dont have the resources to put up much of a fight
So he gets the case overturned, which results in more Americans realizing its all been a railroad job since the first impeachment

I dunno you sure? Doesn't it just take a simple majority in a jury trial for civil cases? If that's the case I can see how they might pick bench as the lesser of two evils, maybe hoping the judge will get some threats from Trump's cult followers.

The same judge smiling for the cameras in the courtroom?

He's needling the judge to induce mistakes.

Why are you a groomer who wants to read porn to kids?

It is much better to have the Jury, almost no doubt, in this situation.

His play is probably to disrupt the court proceedings to the point that his supporters commit violence in his name when things go south. I only say that because nothing else makes any logical sense.

Nope, you want the judge to have to make mistakes in order to convict.

Is that the kind of thing appeals courts like to see? Defendants clearly doing their best to bias the judge against themselves, and then arguing the judge was biased against them?

Because......?

He's more interested in the politics than the legal outcome (at least at this level). He wants to discredit the ultimate judgement for his base and low-info public.

It’s not a criminal trial and it will be overturned even if found guilty initially.

Hey, not everyone can pull off Trump's charming frown.
