Why is there still a “Rose Bowl parade”

I say this with a bit of sarcasm… but what is the carbon footprint of the Rose Bowl Parade?
How many Roses are planted, groomed, and harvested to support this event. Not to mention all the flights, taxis and busses getting people to and fro.
Seems like the hip wokesters of California should cancel themselves and this event.
I suspect it’s because the money made trumps the ecological destruction it causes.

Yes it was but what the hell is the point? Who wants to come to Louisiana? They focus on Nola and I don’t even want to go there and I’m a lifelong Louisianaian.

Over the years of watching Rose Bowl Events on TV, I have a feeling the people who organize and put it on are middle of the road Democrats and Republicans, or in simple terms level headed people.
