Why is mail moving so slow.

It's ridiculous that mail is taking up to 9 days to arrive (versus the usual 5 to 6. Even USPS priority is taking 3 days+ in some cases.
And before you say it, you can not always purchase some products on Amazon. Some merchants only offer products on their store and your at the mercy at whatever shipping they use.
I understand Trump has a mission for the USPS, but I don't really think taking away their equipment was the best move. Unless there is some proof that mail is deliberately being mishandled in certain states, why are we doing this?

USPS has been shite for decades. You're just now noticing it. There was an even a Seinfeld episode back in the 90s making fun of the trash of the USPS.
Unless the USPS is radically overhauled expect to see this continue no matter which political party.

My business sends out 2 k of time sensitive mail per month and we have noticed no difference other than the actual physical post office is crowded and slow due to Covid.

I can't decide if you are basing this all on one event, one slow delivery (if so, look up "incidental"),
