As noted, it isn’t just Democrats.

There is a core of morons that will do anything in order to justify this political hatchet job…and they claim to be conservative.

Because it’s not about whether that’s accurate and truthful or not. It’s just what you’re using to hopefully get a pat on the back and possible membership into out local Trump Hating Club here. Why you’re seeking attention and acceptance from that group in particular…..that says it all. It says nobody should pay you any mind ever again.

Maybe you’re low energy and trying to project it on him.

And who cares if something is unpopular. Just be principled and not worry

This odd angry hate filled edge all of your posts have to them is an example of what I’m talking about.

You’d be hard pressed to find one example in my entire life internet or otherwise of me not being a staunch constitutional conservative and yet you want to lash out and attack me because I said maybe Trump has lost a step as he went from a high energy 68 year old to a tired and angry 77 year old who has lost a step.

What man wouldn’t become tired and less engaged throughout their 70s especially with all the stress and hours of the US Presidency? Trump isn’t some special case or some brilliant thinker. He’s just a man, and men get old.

The movement shifted from frick the establishment to frick you for not loving Trump. You’re wading quickly into dangerous waters and you don’t even see it.

For the serious dumbasses here you can’t criticize either. You discuss Trump, they discuss you. It’s boringly predictable.

Yes they do. And I hope Trump would improve himself and his positions and do better in his second term than he did his first but any attempt to point out his short comings in an effort to have them addressed is met with vitriol.

Are you talking about yourself here?

Everyone knows Trumps policies are exactly what this country needs. Give him 4 years to right the ship and pass it over to someone else. It may not be what the unelected bureaucrats or 3rd tier trial lawyers want, though. I’m assuming you are one of those.

What does this mean? It is my responsibility to blindly and openly support the Republican nominee without discussion or criticism because he is the nominee?

frick that line of thinking. We should be actively engaged in discussion and debate both about the politicians and policies we are fighting against and the ones we are fighting for.

Demanding that I shut up because discussion may be seen as dissent and dissent must be shut down is absolutely not acceptable.

You accurately describe the mindset, but good luck understanding it.

And the logical progression if he’s somehow elected will be that you shouldn’t criticize President Trump’s actions any more than candidate Trump’s.

No. I haven't lost my fastball like Trump has.

He is too scared to even debate these days.

Not really

Neither of these things will happen, though.

Fun dramatic quote and all that...

But politics ain't that complicated. It's about who has the best lies and who can provoke group think most efficiently.

Pretty simple. It's a 2nd gradw popularity contest.

I agree. The quote came to mind because the full throated Trumpers truly can't see it.

Trump’s term has been idealized to some extent but the man actually tried to follow up words with actions for America and Americans and I’m hard-pressed to think of any other presidents D or R who did similar in this modern age.

In addition, the mask had been fully ripped off on the partisan propagandist legacy MSM as well as a significant majority of our establishment and people can see right through that.

It gives some folks a bit of a blind spot for Trump and they have a visceral reaction to the visceral attacks they’ve seen Trump endure.

I’m not saying I agree with the all or nothing antagonistic approach some have chosen to take …but I can understand where it’s coming from.

I like the criticism. I want Trump to have to defend himself, same for any other candidate. I want the process to play out. If DeSantis and/or Haley have the political capital to force a debate, then great. I would like to see the competitors side by side on stage together. I want Trump to have to earn the nomination if he gets it.

But Trump is 40 points ahead of the nearest Republican competitor. Debates may not happen. This alludes to that sticky "popularity" issue, which apparently is grounded in at least some reality. Either way the criticism is good and serves to flesh out the issues.

Maybe the question you should ask is "why am I so caring of what other people think that I am getting butt hurt that they don't like my edgy and cool hatred of trump?"
