Why is everyone so upset with the USSC rulings?

Didn’t Trump nominate 3 of them?
Posted on 6/29/26 at 12:52 pm to Jack Daniel
Because they think SCOTUS is a political body that should do whatever the president who nominated them wants them to (and it has historically acted that way sometimes).
ETA: To be fair, so does the President. They're mad because Trump is. 90% wouldn't know SCOTUS was releasing decisions today if Trump wasn't tweeting about it.

Because they're wrong.

I would suggest that you handle your victories with class, but you Leftist scumbags don't have a clue what that word means.

Because the judges are acting as activists and allowing that to dissuade their decisions.
Posted on 6/29/26 at 12:55 pm to Jack Daniel
Because several of these rulings were Roberts joining with the 3 liberal justices and crafting majority rulings that contradict themselves via taking pieces from different concurrences.

So does every politician in DC. Why do you think the dems talk of killing the filibuster, and packing the SC once they gain power again in the senate and whitehouse?

When you abide by the sycophant belief of "Trump was right about everything", as a good portion of this board has quoted MANY times, I can see why you would think that.

Yea, he got three in. However ACB is extremely left wing/Marxist. Kavanaugh can be relied on slightly more, but he's not dependable either. Gorsuch was his only solid pick.
...and yes, that is 100% on Trump.

Not sure why anyone was particularly surprised by any of the decisions. It’s not like they didn’t provide reasoning

Trump did absolutely nothing to E Jean Carroll. Believing otherwise only shows you to have a shallow intellect.
Mail in ballots are absolutely being used to steal elections, and the ruling today encourages that to continue.

Here is the real problem. The court has repeatedly said there are ways around these problems via Congress. Congress refuses to do it, so everyone takes their anger out at the court instead of the Congress they elected. We seem to be picking and choosing which pieces of our government we blame because we all feel Congress is lazy and worthless. We blame the court for not fixing the problems Congress is required to fix. This court has been very consistent in ruling that its Congress’s job to fix most of the problems. They did it in several Republican wins last year.

Boy, looks like this thread is going to attract a ton of smug left-wing loons.
I think I'll depart from what is already becoming a garbage thread.

Here's the thing, though, for better or worse. Our Constitution doesn't allow certain things to happen without congressional action. If we want that to change (not even necessarily saying we should or shouldn't), we need to change the Constitution. Our founders recognized that possibility--that society would change, and what they created wouldn't work anymore--and put systems in place for it. We used to do that fairly regularly. We just don't anymore.
For the last century, we've relied on dubious legal workarounds (delegation doctrine, massive executive agencies, dormant commerce clause, etc.) that don't work anymore.

Geno fence ruling was a victory for 4th ammendment and government overreach
FTC ruling was a victory for the president
Fed reserve governor ruling was a deferral to the lower courts to run its course for the judicial system to prove if guilt or innocence of "for cause case" remains on board pending litigation
and the mail-in voting date, only allowed ballots to be received up to 5 days after "voting date" ONLY if the ballot has a voting day post mark or earlier.....
could the last two gone differently, sure, but ill take it

Worthless? Yes. Lazy? They're doing the bidding of those that bought them.
