If any of those things were true he’d be an honorary democrat and secure 110% of your votes.

That wouldn't have anything to do with Trump intentionally making enemies of Republicans, would it? He has destroyed the GOP as a sustainable body. When he dies, MAGA will splinter into 1000 groups because it's built on his personality. There's no defining principles outside of nationalism that bind it together. It's very possible that right-leaning politicians will never have majorities in Washington again because they hate each other. That is the lasting impact Trump will have, because all of his executive actions get reversed day 1 of the next election.

Establishment Republicans may be the deciding factor in this election. If they stay home, Trump loses. Plain and simple. He needs them just as bad as they need him.

I'm on the train for now. But I'd rather be flying or driving my own car...something that was much more comfortable and made more sense.

But ask yourself this question, who has the propensity to do the right thing when no one is looking, Trump or Harris?

Because 'The Media' was accused vivaciously promoting Donald Trump the first time by its' reporting.

The who thing is a sham now, unfortunately. Almost all MSM is taking their orders from the democratic party. You hear Fox News hosts, when they get ahold of some of the 'talking' points for CNN/MSNBC/ABC/CBS for use, and it is hilarious.

The media needs to be burned to the ground and restarted. First and foremost, Licensing of reporters - and their bios and history have to be published. Are they providing opinions or performing reporting. Most are providing opinions these days. Very few are reporting objective news. Plus, 2/3 of reporters & hosts seem to have some ax to grind -- They are either minority, gay, militant, dreamers, illegals, trans, or guilt ridden.

When Fox News (who is just to the right of center) is labeled Far Right, you know something needs to be done. And it's not just the media, but advertisers as well which bend to the pressure.

Wish Elon would purchase CNN and take them to the right of Fox, that would be an interesting experiment. But then, the advertisers would all boycott him and his network... because that's the one trick they know best.

Here's the standard he has to deal with:

Interviewer to Kamala: "How are you doing?"
Kamala: "Fine."
Headlines: Kamala Harris answers tough questions with eloquence and resolve.

Interviewer to Trump: "How are you doing?"
Trump: 'Fine."
Headlines: "Trump brags about his status in life and shows no concerns about how others are doing."

I don't know when this started, but this has been the mainstream media my entire life. Reagan won a 49 state bloodbath in 84, but if you listened to the media, he was an evil warmonger who wanted to starve your grandmother and give you AIDS.

The difference is, Reagan didn't have right-slanting media to balance it out. Trump benefits from a large number of right-leaning news sources. Elon Musk just gave Trump access to his X audience that no right-wing politician in history could dream would be available.

Nixon was slaughtered in the press for doing no different than Democrats had been doing for decades.

The media has declared war on every Republican since at least Eisenhower, but none of them had as much exposure to the common man as Trump does through Truth Social, X, the internet, The Bongino Report, etc etc etc.

The media isn't an excuse anymore. The mainstream media is essentially an 8-track tape compared to the internet.

am not saying Harris would excel in this area, either, but is that really the question you want asked about Donald Trump? I'd focus on something else.

Considering the amount of digging that’s been done on him and the lack of anything of substance being revealed, I think a case could be made that Trump is one of the cleanest billionaires in history.

Remember when liberals said... and were 100% sure... for years that the Trump tax returns were sure to reveal illegalities, money laundering etc. Then they were released and the story went away over night. There was nothing there for them. He was trolling them the whole time by not releasing them.

Regan had two advantages that GOP candidates after him did not have.

1. He offered a clear juxtaposition between his vision and the debacle that was Jimmy Carter.

2. In 1980 the RNC was not under a consent decree and played offense.

The consent decree against the RNC in 1981 really quelled the Republican Party all the way into 2022. The consent decree was lifted in 2017 but Ronna still managed the RNC like it was under the consent decree through 2022.

With new leadership the RNC is on offense.

I think these threads are weird GP

But the answer is because they hate him, us and any other movement or person opposed to their worldview.

As for Trump/Harris, I wouldn't rely on either to do the right thing when no one is looking, but I'll take Trump all the same

Trump should have the same advantage

Trump should have the same advantage.

And remember, Reagan didn't have those two advantages when he won 49 states in 84.

There is no excuse to lose to Kamala freaking Harris.
