Why is Congress never accountable for no budget?

I'm happy as anyone about the shut down, but it just blows my mind that congress is incapable of fulfilling one of its primary functions. We went, what, 6 years without a budget being passed before 2015?
How is this acceptable? The theatrics, posturing, and finger pointing tied up in these continuing resolutions is just sickening to me.
Regardless of who ultimately "gets the blame," the only people who actually lose are us citizens. I cannot think of anything more vile than a career politician.

I just have to ask why you are happy about the shutdown? It sounds like you aren't affected by it when, come Monday, if they haven't reached an agreement, I'm furloughed without pay, until the government is up and running again.

Schumer did what he mocked Rs for doing in 2013 and the D faithful cheer.
It's always the fault of the other guy.
Dems need to join us and tell Congress to do their jobs and quit the bullshite.
DACA isn't a budget issue. Leave it out of the budget vote. Do what you want with DACA but do it in the appropriate manner. I want to see hearing on DACA. Not some force fed POS to appease one side or another.

Congress had a bipartisan deal. The Freedom Caucus forced Trump to reject it.

Sorry that you're non essential...
You will get back pay, so what do you even care for?
Unless you're a contractor, then you should raise hell on CNN towards Democrats that are taking money out of your pocket

1. A ton of the "non essential" government positions should not exist in the first place.
2. Congress should not have the CR get out jail free card for not doing their job. If they can't do their job, then citizens should elect someone else who can.
The finger pointing is already happening in this thread. That is exactly what they want, and 100% the reason for all of this bullshite. These shenanigans continue to happen because they know they can do their song and dance in front of the cameras and then at 11:59 come to some amazing last minute deal. It's all theatrics, and all bullshite. I hope everyone is adversely affected by the shutdown, and I hope those frickers choke on the aftermath.

Well, you have found one who is adversely affected by the government shutdown that you're so happy about. Come Monday, you will have a job to go to while I will not. I don't care about the theatrics or posturing and I do blame both sides of the aisle. They are more concerned about party lines than the average American whom they can't relate to.
So, please enjoy your happiness about those of us who are being given an unexpected unpaid vacation for the duration of this idiotic shutdown.

Welcome to the real world. What do you think happens to people who work in the private sector when the company isn't doing so hot? When the shut down ends, and it will after a very short while, you'll be back at your job, and you'll have your wonderful government pension waiting for you when you retire.

You should voice your anger to someone who has control over the shutdown. Chuck Schumer would be a good starting point.

Do you feel like a daca kid is worth more than you or your family?
