He could can them both, move Scott Pruitt in as interim AG and smash his opposition even in the short time Pruitt would have allotted to him.

No way Congress impeaches and convicts him for making such a move, so why is it Trump leaves those disloyal bastards in place?

I think it would help the GOP in the midterms if he fired them, it would definitely fire up the base. There have never been two SOB 's that deserved it more.

Because being hunted by the Deep State is a gigantic net positive for him.

Or it could implode and fire up the Dem base.

His approval has been steadily on the rise he just needs to stay the course until November.

Because their team sold the most macaroni art and, therefore won the challenge and did not have to face Donald for elimination.

I think Gary Busey's team lost because he ate all the glue.

Excellent point. I'm sure the leadership has said the same thing in person.

Those two have got to go soonest. He either gets them, or they will get him, it is that simple.

Everything I’ve heard and read points to the same argument: Trump firing Sessions would cause a huge headache for Trump and likely accelerate impeachment talk by his enemies, who would consider the firing obstruction of justice.

I’ve agreed with the overwhelming majority of Trump’s decisions since taking office.
But Sessions as AG was a horrible, horrible choice.

They consider his getting out of bed in the morning obstruction of justice. Get rid of Sessions and Crookenstein . Put an interim AG like Pruitt in there and force Mueller to put up or shut up. If he doesn't have any crimes to do with any Russians, he gets shut down...here and now.

Who is going to do anything about it? The media can scream but they can't do anything. Congress can't impeach him he hasn't done anything wrong. Game over. FU Mueller.

Trump really is in a difficult place here.

If Sessions was a man with integrity he would just resign.

That's why I said just move. What can anyone do about it? Your interim can deal with Mueller.

Guessing that he knows it would be a political firestorm that would fire up the dems even more.

And, if he knows he didn’t do anything wrong, let them do their investigation, find nothing material, and wrap up shop.

Then, the whole lot of them will get the axe and he will start fresh.

Sessions and Rosenstein ain’t gonna last long after the investigation is over.

Sessions should have at least discussed his thoughts about recusal with Trump before going public with his decision. It appears to me now that Sessions could quite possibly be a Deep State plant.

Because it might be hard to get the replacements confirmed.

Seriously.
