re: Why don’t we embrace the gays?

We don’t “ embrace “ anybody over anybody else- we just extend to them Equal Protection under the law. If you want to personally be compassionate towards anybody- I support that. It’s not cool to pick on the guy who’s different. Except for Toddy. I plan on teasing him through the camp fence.

Don’t you have a family?
Why are you against a normal family? Didn’t you grow up with a mother AND a father in the same household to instill morals and family values in you?
Why are you against normal mother (an actual female) and father (an actual male) family?
Why don’t you explain this using your own life, “democrat”.

For fricksake dude tone it down.
While much of what you say may be factual the way you approach it counts for a lot in many people's minds. It's much of the reason the Republican party can't capture many of the voting blocs that should be naturally conservative voting.
While conservatives are rarely the disingenuous Liars that most liberals are and they're much more philosophically consistent, they really need to work on their tone and their tact which liberals have down to a science.

Your moral certitude has no basis. You don't have a monopoly on the truth.

Isn’t tolerance enough?

why do you assume I'm a Democrat? I do not consider myself one.
Why would you think that I am against a normal family? What did I say to insinuate that?
oh, more of this for or against us stuff..?? Sounds pretty Christain. (No, I'm not against Christianity).
your "normal" family considering over 65% of marriages end in divorce is...well...bullshite.
I am all for structure in our society and how that's learned through education.

Man, this is so true.
I've had the same experiences. I get along so well with gay men and I love their company because they're always so fun and funny. Dykes on the other hand, can't fricking stand me. I've never really figured it out but I'm wondering if it has something to do with me being a domineering type A personality. I think to them that epitomizes masculinity and they can't stand paternalism.
I would really love to hear from the inside what the deal is with them.

Jeez dude, this pretty much sums up my experiences with being gay and conservative. Its kind of laughable really.
I can understand why they are scared to come out of the closet, so to speak, with their political beliefs. It was way easier to come out gay to my family and friends, than it was coming out conservative to my gay friends. The amount on insults hurled at me was unexpected, and being called a traitor to the gay cause was comical.
I guess I never really understood what identity politics was or being a one voter type individual is until I experience that situation. It gets frustrating because of how deeply rooted it is in the gay culture and the backlash you can experience if you do not believe in everything the "cause" tells you to.
So I can see why you would have a group message with closeted gay conservatives, even if I find it a bit hilarious.

I asked my brother the psychologist about this. He said lesbians hate alpha males. They are OK with wimpy males.
Me: "But I'm not an alpha male."
Him: "On a football field, no. But in the workplace, yes you are."
He explained that the goal of lesbians in the work environment is to get alpha males removed by any means necessary.

I’ve long been fascinated by the phenomenon that most gay people I know are financially well-off.

Read that again. Seventy-five percent of gay men have had more than a hundred sex partners, and nearly a third have had more than a thousand.
How many straight males would have just as many partners if they were never met with resistance from women?

I look at all people who define and label themselves based on their sexual preferences and ask why?
Am I missing something? Is there a doggystyle pride parade I can march in? Why would anybody care?

They aren't often taking on 18-year mortgages in the form of babies like hetero couples.
