Why does the 2nd amendment not appeal to minorities?

I never understood why black and brown people don't care for the 2nd ammendment? They are the ones more likely to be living in dangerous neighborhoods and there is more of a mistrust with police in those communities. Alot of black single moms with no one to protect them either. Why would they want to have their safety dependent on cops who they hate? Alot of gin control measures usually just make having a gun or ammunition more expensive, and rarely outright ban guns or bullets. I wish 2nd ammendment advocates would spend more time in minority communities and also introducing young minorities to responsible and safe fire arm handling. This seems like a good way to red pill some kids at a young age.

It does. I have friends in firearm industry, minority families buying guns left and right according to them.

The minorities I have had political discussions with, are not devoted constitutionalist and tend to trust government more than whites. Especially when it comes to the 1st. Many of my conversations led me to believe they are huge supporters of restricted speech.

The narrative that blacks don’t trust the government is mostly false in my experience.

ETA- I will clarify - they trust democrats ans completely distrust republicans.

To the folks saying yeah but they love guns- ask this person to explain the 2nd.

Media makes you believe why they want you to believe. A large portion of minorities do not want to see the Second Amendment get eroded.

Polls and all the BS they show is for a reason. They present the elusion to make those in the middle or who wouldn’t have an opinion pick a side

2A is a massively important issue to black people.

Democrats know this, which is why it lumps together gun owners and white racist redneck stereotype.

Don’t buy their bullshite.

It will when the news laws result in mass incarcerations of minorities or perceived protected classes.

Their voting certainly doesn't take to interest in it, voting 9/10 against it.

Idk but these proposed laws will hurt poor people more than middle class and rich. Firearm insurance? Mandatory yearly training?

They do trust the government, they just don’t look at police as the government.

It’s kinda like the gay lobby that loves big government and wants government intrusion yet failed to understand it was government that was declining their “marriage license” request all those years.

Same with BLM/Antifa, they all vote for big government yet protest against government. When you figure out the mental illness, let me know.

Their churches are the reason. Black churches are in bed with democrat politicians and democrat political organizing groups, and it is in those pews where political preaching laced with "democrat good, republican bad" occurs.

For many black people that go to these churches, voting democrat is just as much of a spirtual thing as it is a political thing. Hence, souls to the polls and all of that. The two are intertwined.

The government won’t take the guns from minorities.

Just white people.

Some are 2A supporters because they think they need firearms to defend themselves from the evil boogeyman whitey the democrats and media are always telling them about.

Others probably support it because they know deep down that they face threats everyday, and not from whitey.

You are correct that they trust government, especially democrat run government, way more than the narratives we hear. Two issues I’ve seen them break ranks with democrats on is trannies/LGBT issues and the 2A.

Blacks are under enormous pressure from other blacks to conform to leftist political ideology. And the younger, the more liberal the peer group, just like whites.

My local gun shop had lines of female minorities outside the building in the last 8 months I’ll bet over 70% of guns were bought by black females in the last year.
