It's cold up there. People want to be outside but it's cold. When stuff is burning they can be outside and it's warmer.

There was a small protest yesterday against ICE in Foley, AL, of all places. The videos showed it was mostly 50+ year old white folks, which leads me to believe they were mostly bussed in out-of-towners or northern liberal transplants trying to change the place they moved to into where they moved from. Baldwin County went 78% for Trump in 2024.
I get your point, though. Why Minnesota or Chicago or New York or Baltimore? They’re more liberal is all I can figure.
