I dunno, Because hundreds of thousands died to protect our freedom to own one or twenty? The better question to me is why do you feel the need to commandeer these rights which have been so nobly defended by our forefathers and squander them in exchange for the fantasy of a fleeting fairytale.
Riddle me this, what about the human condition begot the need for weaponry? Or are you under the impression that a wicked sky God dropped guns into the formerly blissfully peaceful fraternity of mankind only to unleash a plague of violence which otherwise never would have been known?
We need weapons to protect ourselves and that has not changed, nor will it.

i didn't peruse the thread, but i assume numerous people pointed out that:
1) you don't NEED to refuse a search that isn't based on probable cause without a warrant
2) you don't NEED to criticize the government, protest, or actually say anything in particular atall
3) you don't NEED to vote

Wrong little retard, the 1994-2004 AWB didn't ban a single weapon. Simply created two categories firearms and made the AR-type rifles the single most popular rifle platform.

Take that linear political spectrum you're used to, with socialism at the far left and facism at the far right. Now bend it until it makes a horse shoe with socialism and facism right next to each other.
