The guy won the governors race in a deep blue state. Not saying he is my number one choice, but I think Christie could beat Biden in some of those swing states that lean blue/purple.

Christie is there to serve as a funnel for the GOPE donor class who are too pussified to take on Trump directly.

Christie is an opportunists. His motives are not pure. He's is playing the role of a spoiler and he is being paid like a paid actor.

Mitt Romney was also governor in a blue state so you can get that reason for legitimizing him the frick out of here.

I never understood why people always mention the small number of posts people have when it's something you disagree with. Like it's such a badge of honor that you posted 68,872. Looks like you need to get off the computer for once and go talk to people in real life.

You know why you got called out, alt. My post count doesn’t matter, it’s those with 5 year old acts and a few hundred posts trying to build up. You avg less than 1 post a day, yet have more than that in this thread.

And how do you think that was achieved? By being conservative?!

because unlike democrats, Republicans demand their candidates remain at least somewhat conservative. We also can smell a swamp rat. we've been trying to shrug off people like Christie since the Tea Party days.

consider this comparison; how "liberal" are you if you support a party that engages in political censorship, jailing their opposition, criminalizing dissent, forcing citizens to ingest experimental medications, rewriting American history, and forcing sexual perversions onto children?

Sometimes the threads answer their own questions.

Because he’s a lot more like them than he is us.

Chris Christie is a good example of the problem with our two party system. He'll never win the GOP Primary, but would probably beat Biden in a general election.

I am conservative (old school IKE type) for smaller government and a party that does not go into debt like a spendthrift drunken sailor. While Christie is not my perfect candidate he at least is preaching some sanity in a congregation of kool aid drinkers. I could care less if a guy is butt ugly and big as a house. I want somebody under 75 who can take a strong stance on foreign policy. Bring jobs back to the USA even if it hairlips the Wall Street. Has solid trade relations with this sphere of the world (Canada to Chile). Have a military close to historic norms of 50% labor costs and 50% Tech, support, and research). I believe in fiscal policy akin to the old Scottish bankers of my youth. I believe in a return of something akin to the WPA to educate and employ our youth for future employment. Find a midpoint between government health care and private health care that actually works for the citizens.

Find me that candidate under 70 and I would vote for them if they were in the Purple Polka Dot Party.
