Republicans usually can't provide a compelling argument in favor of voting for them; the big Republican winners in 2022 were generally incumbents with a favorable record to run on, who were running against relatively weak opponents (cf Abbott, Kemp, Desantis, Rubio).

When it comes to economics most people are not complaining Biden is too liberal. Actually most Americans want Biden to be spending more and complain that his relief package wasn't too big but the opposite - they wanted a bigger check to make up for inflation.

Can’t remember his name but he was a black comedian in the 60s-70s. He said pro and con are opposites that is plainly seen. It progress means move forward, what does congress mean.

Most Dems who come in to register to vote usually make a comment or two re. the Republicans. Most are right in line with your observation. They've been brainwashed into thinking we are disciples of the Devil.
