Why did we stop calling them illegal aliens?

Immigration carries legal connotations.
Illegal aliens sounds more descriptive of the person and the behavior.

That is actual legal term based on my understanding is illegal alien. The first time I heard the "undocumented immigrant" BS was around 94 or 95??

Apply more humanizing language to something people dislike. Eventually, if it catches on, people will start to use that language. You do this long enough, and incrementally you can work to change an entire narrative.

Actually, you "repeat this long enough", and over time it becomes accepted term and narrative of lazy arse people who will not correct those using an incorrect term. It's actually one of the 12 rules if I recall or Marx...not sure.

I don't know about "we", I still call them illegal aliens. To be a dreamer you must be asleep. Pre-owned cars is a term I will NEVER say out loud! Illegal aliens works fine for me
Undocumented worker gives you more specific information about the individual in that it tells you that they're employed but illegal alien worker would work just as well
