How did they know Trump would completely drop the ball on Covid? What would have happened if he totally leaned into Covid rather than hoping to ignore it into extinction?
I often wonder how different the world might be had Trump had a completely different approach. What if he made Covid mitigation strategies his top priority in February of 2020? Would the libs be running around calling it a hoax?
I still think his melt down over Covid cost him the election.

It was to rig the election. Trump couldn’t come out and say Covid was bullshite in an election year. People were dying. (Even if it was car wrecks, and Flu, and other issues already in play, etc.)
It allowed mail in voting and detailed the economy and upset peoples lives. It was the massive “shake up” to get him out of the WH.
China was buckling under the tariffs and knew if Trump won, they couldn’t handle another 4 years of them.
The Deep State has been trying to get rid of Trump politically since 2015.

I feel like he did just that. He denied and dismissed Covid until it was too late to have an affective position that people would follow.
I’ve talked to lots of people who pulled their support for him over that.
For me it was his handling of Covid and his awful energy strategies that drove me away.

The US feasted on cheap Saudi oil during the entire Trump presidency. I thought he would do a better job and invested in US oil companies when he got elected. The opposite happened. 600+ U.S. energy companies went bankrupt during his presidency prior to Covid. Billions of dollars in US investments were lost. Had you bought Exxon stock on the day he was elected your investment was down 70% when he left office. He watched our energy industry get scorched.
That energy independence is the farthest thing from the truth. 2105-2021 are some of the darkest days in our nations energy history. How that lie of energy independence got started and sustained is incomprehensible.
