Why? Do you think this is the first apartment building to get hit in a war?

A: Ukraine militants were using it as military position

B: Ukraine actually bombed it and blamed Russians in a false flag for their ongoing pity party campaign

C: The building was never bombed, it is a clip from an 80's movie

Just checking in to see what's been said, reported, or if anyone has any ideas as to what possible reason could explain it.

This isn't 1944 and Dresden. There's really no need to target a civilian building with artillery, is there? I'm not buying 'collateral damage' when clearly this was the Russian's target.

That’s the first thing that came to my mind.

Haven’t all the citizens armed up and become combatants at the behest of their govt and to the cheers of the media?

I love how none of your answers considers RUssia being an invading force with bad intel.

Imagine making excuses for an ex communist agent. fricking communists.

Sure there is. Nothing destroys morale like artillery bombardment. They’re trying to break Ukraine’s will to resist.

You’re also giving Russian artillery way too much credit. There’s no telling what they were aiming for.

And that somehow makes Russia not being ruled by a communist dictator how ?

I think someone needs a history lesson, communist have always killed one another. See example 1 Trotsky.

Casting this in a negative light and presenting it as some sort of point is one of my favorite spins on this board so far in the conflict.

Obviously, just like the propaganda they put out, the current Ukrainian government is the first government of all time to arm its civilians and encourage them to fight an invader. Not like it’s been a feature of every armed conflict in world history or anything. This is clear proof that Ukraine is a bad actor.

Possible. But how dare the Ukrainians try to defend their country, right?

Unlikely, as the Russians have been shelling and sending rockets into downtown areas for days now.

Unfortuately, it wasn't stock footage. This time. But sadly, there have been reports of events happening which actually took place years ago. Or in different countries entirely, being passed off as 'breaking news' coverage.
