You can flame all you want but the fact is that little old ladies and voters of all kinds want to see a president they can try to relate to or at least one that can appear to relate to a normal person. This is nothing new and honestly shouldn't be that hard to do.

Says the sycophants who cried, "why didn't Ron wait until 2028, he could have sailed to the presidency, then".

Ok, sport.

Because his staff likely didn't prepare him for such question. So he winged it and waited to feel out the crowds' reaction.

Candidates not knowing how to respond to a "raise your hand" question happens during every presidential election.

I got a chuckle out of that last night. He looked so uncomfortable with having to fake a smile. And i'm a "ronbot" that can laugh about that.

Very odd behavior for a presidential candidate.

I think we're beyond "odd" at this point when it comes to presidential candidates.

There should have been zero hesitation. I don't need Trumps approval. I need his border policies and leadership. I don't give a shite about his mean tweets. I wouldn't vote for him as prom king but I'd crawl through broken glass to vote for him as president.

You know what I see here? Advisers.

Back during Covid and he as everywhere, DeSantis didn't smile in interviews. He came off as authoritative and confident, but somewhere along the lines someone likely got in his ear and told him to "smile more." Sad part is that it's probably necessary given what we see on the board all the time...

But it's clear mugging for the camera is not his thing, and honestly hard for most people. Reminds me of a story I read/saw once about Bill Clinton but I can't remember who told it.

Clinton was walking in some parade somewhere and was talking to this guy and then suddenly his face froze in a big smile as he kept walking. The guy with his had no clue what was going on, but it turns out they were passing a bank of photographers and Clinton understand that they'd be less likely to get a bad photo of him if he gave them literally one look and held it. that's some grade A Psycho shite.

Frankly, I wish DeSantis would just go back to being normal and stop trying to be cheery because he thinks it plays better. I'd rather a confident leader than a smiling jackass.
